25.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID 19 Notice Dear member, There have been some updates to community sport from the Department of Health and the NSW State Government. In order to comply with this update and allow continued use of club facilities the following requirements need to be followed effective immediately.... Shoot groups to have a maximum of 4 archers shoot groups to be limited to family members or existing socially interacting groups Intermingling of individuals to be avoided The purpose is to limit the interaction of people from different geographical regions who attend and use club facilities. 21.01.2022 18th October 2020 CLUB SHOOT ... Dear MWFA member, 18th October club shoot is on! (conditions apply) The MWFA will conduct a 3D Club Shoot on Sunday 20th September with the following additional COVID Safe Rules applying. Make sure you have your ABA and MWFA cards with you. 1. Stay at home if unwell or you have been in contact with recent travellers. 2. Financial members of the MWFA/ ABA only. Visitors are allowed at this time. 3. Targets will be set between 8:00 and 9:00 by members who have assisted with this activity previously. Please respond to this email if you can assist. The Range Master (Richard) will coordinate this activity. Ideally 10 targets = 10 people. 4. Members are required to register between 8:00 and 9:00 and proceed progressively onto the course as they arrive/register. The Committee will direct the use of staging areas or restrict practice range activities if +1.5m social distancing is not practised by individuals. 5. Social distancing of +1.5m, pulling your own arrows and a single scorer are required whilst using the 3D Course. Sanitiser will be available at each target for use by members. 6. Access to the clubhouse will be limited to Committee members undertaking essential activities. Registration will be conducted outdoors and sanitiser provided. 7. Refreshments and food will be provided as part of the shoot fee. 8. Upon completion of the shoot, it is expected that members will leave the premises if the practice range is full or proceed directly to the Red Range which will remain open during and after the shoot. 9. Upon completion of the shoot, any member using the practice range is required to assist with target recovery and disinfecting club equipment. 10. The shoot fee is $20 and covers target wear and tear, lunch and the provision of sanitisers and insect repellent. 11. These rules apply to this Shoot only and will be reviewed monthly. Dear members, A reminder that the transition date to change over affiliation to the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA) is the 12th October 2020. That is this weekend! The ABA national executive will vote in our club as affiliated with ABA on the 11th October at their executive meeting which will take effect from 12th October 2020. What this means for you - to maintain currency of membership (and use of club facilities) with Manly Warringah Field Archers including insurance cover is as follows: You must be a financial member of ABA by 12th October 2020 Only members who have current MWFA and ABA membership will be able to use club facilities from 12th October 2020. All new members will have to be members of ABA PRIOR TO being able to join MWFA. Only membership applications that have a current ABA membership number on them will be processed. All existing members must forward their ABA number to me to update the membership data base as soon as membership cards have been received. This can be done at club shoots or via the clubs email account. [email protected] All membership renewals will only be processed if they have a current ABA membership number on them. Renewing members MUST be financial members of ABA and have their number on renewal forms before club memberships will be processed. It is a requirement of ABA affiliation that all MWFA members are financial members of ABA. Approximate turn around times for ABA membership is 2 weeks. 04.01.2022 Social Shoot September 6. This month we will continue to feature the ABA 20 target 3 arrow round. Remember that pegs are age based with Red for seniors, Green for juniors and Yellow for cubs. Traditional archers are the only group who have a different peg based on equipment.... Please remember that COVID safe protocols apply at social shoots as well as official shoots. Minimise group sizes to 4 and under and maintain your social distance! ABA Paper Round Basics.pdf Shoot commences from 8.00 am for the early risers and finishes at 12 pm when the club house will be locked up. Shoot fee: There are no shoot fees for the round. Catering: you will need to bring your own food and drinks. Groups: form your own and try to keep them to 3 - 4 shooters. If your group is slow please allow others to shoot through.
