25.01.2022 5th Annual Dolphin Chaser Regatta this weekend. Check out the gang from our 1st one, back in Oct. 2016.

25.01.2022 Junior Sailing 28.11.20. This week at Junior Sailing, the Morning Maniacs posed for a 'get well soon photo" for one our newest gang members, Mark, who has been laid up in hospital for the last two weeks. We hope you make a speedy recovery and get back to sailing soon ! Then they hit the lake in a tricky westerly that kept them on their toes all morning, not to mention the 38 deg. heatwave, and they seemed more focused on being in the Lake, rather than sailing on top of it ! (can't blame 'em for that). Plenty of capsizing, mostly on purpose, then it was a mission to wrap up turdle island and get them back in for lunch. Snapped a few shots, have a captain cook ...............

25.01.2022 Junior Sailing 12.9.20. This week at junior sailing, Keiley won a race, Lucy won a race, Curtis won a race, Sienna won a race and Yianna won a race. ! Great sailing kids ! Cracker of an afternoon on the Lake in a 5 - 10 northerly breeze, shifting a bit to the west and the east at times. Graham left us for the dark side of the force in a modified Nacra 14, leaving us with 7 Open Skiffs and two Lasers. Harry was a bit grumpy and yelled at his sister when she didn't give way when overtaking but cheered up when he finally got to start a 'turdle island' early with James. Great to see most of the kids back for another boomer season of racing at MPASC, will be even better when we get the rest back from the delayed winter sport season. Have a bo-peep at todays pics ....

18.01.2022 DOLPHIN CHASER REGATTA - PHOTOS DAY 2 (+ Presentation) O'pen Skiff - AUS 22nd November 2020

18.01.2022 Junior Sailing 19.9.20 This week at junior sailing, we were blessed with blue skies, a perfect spring day, and a delightful nor'easter of around 10 knots. Graham was out practicing on the Nacra 14 and lost it out the front of the club. Only young James turned up for the morning session, but he enjoyed some one on one coaching with Andy and is improving every week. Lucy and Keiley joined him for the arvo racing, but after one race they took off over to Brightwaters for some fun in the waves and stronger breeze. Easy day for coaching, awesome day on the Lake, have a look at what popped out he polaroid .........

17.01.2022 There's always a couple of yachts, creeping into frame, trying to get their photo on Facebook, while I'm coaching the juniors. .......

12.01.2022 Dolphin Chaser Wrap Up Congratulations to Gold Division winner Charlie Johnson from Avalon SC, and Silver Division winner Toby McKavanagh from Manly YC, and a big thankyou to all the competitors that came for the weekend, it wouldn't have been the same without you ! Well done green fleet on completing more races than gold & silver, nice work Ryan, Lucy, Emily & Sophia for keeping them entertained. This years Dolphin Chaser was a huge success with 46 registered entrants, and w...e look forward to seeing you all next year, or at the nationals here in January 2022 ( try not to grow up too much). A special shout out to our volunteers that make this legendary event happen. To the "on water" team manning the rescue & course boats, our dedicated race officer - Michael Forbes, the admin. & results team - Jenny, Brenton & Warren, Bevan & Ryan from Open Skiff Aust., and an extra big shout out to our much beloved canteen manager Janet Carr and her helpers, who handled an extraordinary number of lunches, not to mention Sat. night dinner and Sun. breakfast (delicious as usual), and last but not least, our facilities manager Ian Carr, who kept us Covid safe for the weekend. Hats off to all of you, great effort !!! Us junior coaches (Andy & Jim) appreciate your hard work, as this regatta is of great benefit to our junior sailing program - Thankyou! Check out these pics of young James and some of the gang, pretty much sums up how much fun they had on the weekend ! (yes, they must always do a Turdle Island raft up, after every sailing session - a little predictable maybe ? ),

12.01.2022 This is Elli Elli sailed very well this week. Elli sailed flat. Elli trimmed her sails. Elli didn't capsize.... Elli is junior sailor of the week. Be like Elli ! See more

10.01.2022 Junior Sailing 26.9.20. This week at junior sailing, 3 brave Open Skiff kids (4 if you count Graham) and 2 Laser kids took on the wild westerly and left the Cat fleet on the beach (not again ). Lachie & Elli (11yrs old), and Keiley, ripped up the Lake on another sunny spring afternoon and the famous Hendo's (James & Emilly) entertained us with some spectacular high wind sailing ! A special shout out to Elli, who went in early after a wild squall intimidated her, but got back... out, shortly after and smiled her way through the rest of the session (good stuff) Graham ripped a sizable hole in the sail, and pulled a funny face during a nose dive capsize. James broke his Laser mast when his boat couldn't handle his extreme sailing talent ? (so he tells us). Andy set a slalom course, we knocked over two races before they sailed off to blast around in the westerly for fun (just how we roll here @MPASC) Awesome arvo of sailing, great day for pics, managed to get a few in focus (they were going too fast, not to mention the chop) have a captain cook ................... 10.01.2022 Club Renno's 2020 "Come up and see what's on the slab" Well not much yet, but in couple of days, block walls will be going up thanks to DACH Constructions and the rendering is under way already.... *Funded by the Dept. of Regional NSW, Stronger Country Communities Fund.

09.01.2022 Junior Sailing 3.10.20. This week at junior sailing, James had a slippery tiller, Harry lost a rudder, Lincoln hiked like legend, Curtis sported a man bun, Lucy nailed a start in race 1, Graham broke a hull on his Nacra 14, and all enjoyed another perfect day of sailing, in a 5 - 15 knot nor'easter ! A great turn out, of 8 morning maniacs, considering it's school holidays. They blasted around a short course before capsizing into a Turdle Island, then in for lunch. The arvo r...acing gang knocked over 3 races before Elli, Keiley, Curtis went for a blast across to Bird Cage point and got buzzed by a tosser on a jet ski, who then copped a massive wipe out (kharma, haha). Well done Aleisha for joining the racing gang this arvo, after a year off sailing and well done Sam, with two handicap wins. A special shout out to Keiley, one of our favorite junior sailors, who is moving to N.Z. in a couple of weeks. Keiley has been one of our best Open Skiff sailors, and although we will miss him at our annual Dolphin chaser regatta, we might see him back for the Nationals in Jan '22 ( if he stops growing ). Keep on sailing and best wishes from all of us @MPASC ! Check out todays pics .................. See more
