11.01.2022 Considering advice from public health authorities, it is with regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Manningham Band’s concert Autumn Favourites scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2020 at 3pm. We recognise the need to minimise the potential spread and impact of the Coronavirus on our long-term loyal audience members. We will be working towards our Winter Favourites scheduled for 31st May and hope that the situation improves by then. In addition to a mix ...of new works, we will try to include a couple of the great features that we were to present this time around. Thank you to our supporters and musicians who engage in Community Arts, making our society a better place. We look forward to sharing our music with you soon. 07.01.2022 Sorry ....now cancelled. See Updated Post. Autumn Favourites - Sunday 22nd March 3pm start. Yes it is still on!!! - Some great guest artists will be performing.... We encourage you to come .....but ..... in the light of the current situation, we ask that to minimise risk of infection you read the following:- If you, 1. a depleted immune system or 2. have a RESPIRATORY INFECTION or 3. if you have been in contact with a person who is suspected of having the virus (tested or untested), or 4 if you have been OVERSEAS to a "problem area" in the last two weeks .......please stay at home. The "problem areas" are listed on the DHHS web site, and are subject to change. The prominent infections recently have been from the U.S., so the list must be taken to include the USA. Still hoping to see all you wonderful healthy people there for an afternoon of great music! Andrew van Gemert Musical Director

04.01.2022 Derek was not only an inspiring teacher, mentor and arranger, but also a true gentleman. Manningham Concert Band has performed a number of his arrangements and he was a fountain of knowledge in which I relied upon. Our thoughts are with Joan and the family at this time. Derek, I will miss you dearly. Andrew.
