18.01.2022 How are we going with water restrictions? A big congratulations to #TeaGardens #HawksNest, #Bulahdelah, #Stroud and #Gloucester your 7-day water use average i...s on target for your water supply area. In the Manning and Great Lakes, we’re making progress, but we need to work a little bit harder to reduce water use right now if we want to avoid level 5 emergency restrictions. The graph shows every day's usage for the past week, the red line is our 17 megalitre per day target. You can check how your area is going, with the daily usage figures posted right here: http://bit.ly/2XXXUUT. Save even more water by checking out fact sheets and tips here: http://bit.ly/2mjJUWX. 09.01.2022 GLOUCESTER CARTING-IN WATER WITH SUPPLIES BELOW 'CRITICAL' LEVELS Gloucester has begun carting water into the town, with its major water source dropping b...elow critical levels. The Mid Coast Council says river flows in the Barrington River, the water source for the township of Gloucester, have practically ceased. It's the first time the river has stopped since records began in 1945. The council is now carting water in from its groundwater source at Tea Gardens. It's also called on residents and business to reduce water usage..with local business asked to cut their usage by at least 50 percent, even if it means reducing hours of operation. Level four water restrictions are in place, but the council says the prospect of rain later next week could help them avoid emergency restrictions. The cost of carting the water for rural towns is subsidised by the State Government.

07.01.2022 So sad our season has been cancelled but we need to slow down the spread of Coronavirus. See the link below for the latest information on the measures being introduced by the government.

02.01.2022 So many people have reached out to us, asking how they can lend a hand to people in bush fire affected areas. The best way to help those in need is to give mone...y. This allows people to buy the things they need, and support the local businesses that have also been impacted. Please do not donate physical items such as food and clothing as these take up much needed community spaces. Below are appeals you can donate to: Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery https://www.redcross.org.au//disaster-relief-and-recovery- The Salvation Army Disaster Appeal https://www.salvationarmy.org.au//make-a-d/donate-online/ Thank you to everyone who has offered to help. We appreciate your generosity and kindness. Photo by Adam Stevenson taken at Wallabi Point on Tuesday 12 November.
