24.01.2022 On World Environment Day we're revisiting an important reason to join a toy library - reducing your family's environmental impact. "If we want children to valu...e relationships over stuff, we have to be intentional about the way we bring it into their lives. The way we buy will teach. I beg you, for the good of your children and this planet, please stop buying plastic crap." Thanks becoming minimalist.

17.01.2022 FEATURED TOYS: Cooperative board games WHAT ARE COOPERATIVE GAMES?? Unlike traditional board games where one person wins and everyone else loses, cooperative games are played together as a team, against the game itself. We have 3 in the library: #105 Dinosaur Escape (ages 4+)... #766 The Little Orchard (ages 3+) #767 Lighthouse Ambush (ages 4+) WHY ARE THEY GREAT? They foster team-work and cooperation. Kids with varying ages, abilities and levels of competitiveness can play alongside each other more easily with these games. If you have a child who is very sensitive to winning or losing, cooperative games can be a great tool to help develop these skills. Give them a go!

07.01.2022 We are strong advocates for offering your child quality play experiences without overwhelming them with an abundance of toys, puzzles and games. What's more, we... know how you can do this without purchasing loads of toys which may end up in landfill when they still have so much play left in them. A toy library membership allows you to borrow what your child enjoys now and then return it. It doesn't clutter your home when you no longer want it, it simply goes back into circulation for another family to enjoy. We're on Planet A, as the new ABC series calls it, and we can all make a difference for our children's futures by sharing resources. How good is that? #noplanetb : becoming minimalist
