23.01.2022 The best field of the night was B grade with 10 starters. After a long solo break by Joshua Longname, Crossy who swears he has been training on Christmas cheer managed a win from the Longname Man with young rising star Jacob S in third. Marcus W next from Kobi M who had made a valiant attempt to get away with 2 laps to go. Tommy Gunn was next followed by Gavin J. Jacob’s Strava data shows a distance of 25.26 Kms for the 35 Mins + 2 laps who took 40 min 03 sec at an average speed of 37.8 with a max Spd of 55.4 kph.

23.01.2022 6 starters in D Grade including the newly promoted Phil M. Three of the starters were dropped by the first 3 place-getters who fought out a close finish at speed. Warwick B was victorious from Ian B and Steve E. Strava shows Budsie riding 17.79 kms at an average of 35.7 kph with an elapsed time of 29 min 54 sec for the 25 mins + 2 laps. Max speed was 47.2 Kph ( Steve E showed a max Spd of 52.6kph). Another Day who cramped towards the end finished 4th after a very difficult last lap for him. Next was The Dark Knight from Forster’s Ross H who had to drive himself to the race.

22.01.2022 5 riders started for 20 mins plus 2 laps. Todd A made a comeback before his better half had a win in F grade. With Phil M going up a grade after some wins the peloton was slightly diminished but some of Phil’s wheel sucking tricks were transferred to Ron T.... Strava shows that the race took 25mins 44sec and the riders managed 14.28 kms at an average speed of 33.3 kph. Max speed of 40kph was recorded. A strong sprint finish between 3 saw Jacqueline F (PMCC) take the win from Ron T with Janelle S in 3rd. There was a bit of a gap between this trio and the last 2 who competed the sprint and Toddles managed to just pip the Small man.

19.01.2022 7 starters 30 mins + 2 laps. A win for Sarah N followed by Alex C then Alani C (PMCC) and Leigh W, Col B and Matt W scoring the final MVCC points.

18.01.2022 20 minutes plus 2 laps faced two starters, Megan Goodsell having her first race on the new 4 week starter licence issued by the new AusCycling surprised the pundits by winning in a close finish from Raphael Chapman on his Moser having only his second race. If we have all our F graders at the track will be a viable field so come on guys get the bikes out and the licences up to date if not current. No Strava data available.

17.01.2022 The good light greeted the early racers and the photos reflect that fact. 7 riders started and saw Ross H show the other his back from the consistent Ian B followed by Greg K, Mal S, Tony D & Steve E in 6th. An un-licenceplated motorbike with an un-helmeted rider and his small helmeted child raced down the closed track between bunches during this race putting the cyclists at potential danger.

14.01.2022 C grade was unusually thin for the 1st race in 2021. 4 starters for 30 mins + 2 laps. Michael P a visitor from Port had a close win from Alex C with Leigh W in 3rd. Matt W was protecting his handicap and failed to finish. It will have no impact on his handicap despite his worst efforts. The Strava data for Leigh was: Distance 21.59kms, Time 35mins 31sec, Average speed 36.5kph with a Max Spd of 49.0kph.

10.01.2022 Again F grade had 1 rider and is proving to be unviable. New member Raphael C started with E grade and hung on for a while before riding solo and giving Leo S some good opportunities for photos.

02.01.2022 7 riders started with Raphael C from F grade. It all got a bit messy after the hairpin as A grade passed and E graders on both sides of the track. Phil M after sitting on all night won in a close sprint from Janelle S then the 2 Jacqies, F the D. The other Phil, T was next followed by Mark B & Joanna A
