12.01.2022 Today is Volunteer Recognition Day. We would like to recognise the great job & the time freely given to the Society by our volunteers. We have volunteers who spend time on duty each day at the library ready to help people with their research & those who man the bbqs at Bunnings every few months. Behind the scenes others put our newsletter together, put resources together, answer research enquiries & generally keep our Society running. To all those people we say THANK YOU!

06.01.2022 Our little soldier has touched hearts from right across our nation.

05.01.2022 This family history month we’re highlighting collections from the recently digitised Australian Joint Copying Project (AJCP). British army regiments served in... the Australian colonies until 1870. If your ancestor came to Australia in one of these units, you can track their service during the regiment’s time stationed here through the British Army’s pay lists and muster books online through the AJCP. You’ll be able to follow payments, promotions (or demotions), locations etc during the regiment’s time in Australia. Browse or search the muster books and pay lists, starting here: https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-728664549/findingaid British Army muster documents were digitised as part of the AJCP with thanks to the National Archives of the U.K.
