23.01.2022 "The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither. The society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both." From "Created Equal," an episode of the PBS Free to Choose television series (1980)

14.01.2022 Last weekend the Leadership Development Program headed to Busselton for a three day Leadership retreat. We had a lot of fun, hard conversations and learned valuable life lessons. Following Rons 6am walk along the beach, we spent Saturday focusing on key areas including: Resilience, Team Work, Emotional Regulation, Leadership and Self Awareness. Sunday we put our skills to the test, enduring the belting rain, mosquitoes and cold while zip lining through the tree tops! Applications to Mannkals 2021 Leadership Development Program are now open! Get in quick as demand is high for this elite development program.

12.01.2022 "Most Australians (53 per cent) say they would support a tax increase to provide more public interest journalism." If people are willing to pay for it, how about we level the playing field and let the ABC try its hand at being an actual business that delivers a product consumers want?

06.01.2022 A great article by The Sydney Morning Herald on how Australia's civil liberties movement failed to call out the excessive government interventions related to CO...VID. As IPA's John Roskam pointed out the COME-TO-JESUS moment on India is better late than never, but only highlights why advocates for civil liberties should have been louder and more aggressive from the start. If you do not challenge things at the beginning, it becomes very hard to challenge them at the end. This is how civil liberties are eroded. http://ow.ly/dRel50ENWbc

02.01.2022 How to Love Your Enemy: A Restorative Justice Story. A city in Colorado tries a different kind of justice system powerful enough to change the incarceration game of the U.S. Instead of locking up non-violent offenders, these advocates focus on the challenging but rewarding process of apology, forgiveness, and redemption that radically shifts our idea of justice and our part in it.
