23.01.2022 Great news! The Mannum Creative Communities group will recommence their meetings as of July 9th at the Mannum Motel Cafe at 10.30am. Anyone who has an interest in the local art scene or would like to know more is welcome to join us.... Although several of our events had to be cancelled this year we are happy to be back planning for the future. One of the exhibitions that will be going ahead is our 'Scarecrows in Spring' to be held in September and October. Watch this space for more news.

21.01.2022 Sneek Peek at this mornings Scarecrows in Spring install some fabulous creations with more to come over the next week. The venue is the garden area outside the Mannum Information Centre on Randall Street. Thanks to all involved that helped to make this annual Community Event happen and the staff at the information centre for the use of the space. Enjoy also, its not too late to get involved and make a crow as it runs until the end of October contact myself or Colleen Moyne

19.01.2022 Our Scarecrows in Spring exhibition is taking shape in the garden of the Mannum Dock Museum. Still a couple more to come. Cruise past when you get a chance and have a look at the assortment of crazy (and sometimes creepy) characters. They may not scare crows but they might scare you!

18.01.2022 My "Birdz" Exhibition Opening is on Sunday 19th January 2pm to 4pm come join me for great food, wine, special guest speakers and of course three amazing exhibitions to kick off 2020 these exhibitions coincide with this years "Tour Down Under" as all three shows involve bike themes. My Birdz incorporate many recycled bike parts, op-shop figurines, religious icons and lots of other found objects

18.01.2022 Tune into 1125 5MU tomorrow at 10.05 and hear all about our 'Scarcrows in Spring' Exhibition. SA Today Jennie Lenman interviewed us mob today. A big thankyou to Lyn, school teacher from Mannum Kindy who bought in the kids' entry today titled "Worker Jill." Lyn agreed at short notice to be interviewed and talk about the kids creation. Lots of fun.

Also for all your hard work in setting up and packing up, a great day A big congratulations to Jan for taking out best in show Sandie for winning the ag award and Colleen for taking out best in show for written word category

06.01.2022 I attended the very talented artist Sandie Kuehne's exhibition gathering this morning to view Sandie's exhibition retrospect "Labour of Love" and admire her lifes work. The Mayor Dave Burgess also did a talk about the show. The exhibition finishes close of business Tuesday 29th Oct go check it out and enjoy an insightful delightful journey

05.01.2022 Due to more thefts and Damage to our Scarecrows we are sadly packing up the exhibition two weeks early to save any further problems However, we will not be defeated and will return next spring 2020 bigger and better

04.01.2022 We're pleased to announce that our annual 'Scarecrows in Spring' exhibition will go ahead this year and we would love to see members of the community submitting their own creations to join ours at the Mannum Dock Museum compound. You have until August 22nd and the sky's the limit when it comes to using your imagination. Anything from the traditional to the bizarre is welcome. Call Colleen on 0400 286 083 to find out more.

03.01.2022 Tomorrow is the day! Our 2020 Scarecrows will start appearing in the Mannum Dock Museum compound as of tomorrow morning and more will be added as they're completed. It's fantastic to see entries coming along from some new contributors this year. The display will remain until the end of October, so there is plenty of time to come and have a look - or to contribute your own scarecrow to the group. The more the better!
