24.01.2022 Bowel cancer is the second most common cancer affecting people in Australia. When detected early, the chance of a full recovery from bowel cancer is high. Bowe...l cancer can develop with a few, if any, early warning symptoms so its important to participate in regular screening from age 50 onwards. You can do the test provided by the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program yourself at home in privacy. For more info, including how to do the test at home, visit: http://bit.ly/2WjkSIB

20.01.2022 If you are unwell and you’ve been tested for COVID-19, it’s important that you stay at home while waiting for your test results. Do not go to public places ... this includes work, school, childcare, university, shopping centres, public parks, social or religious gatherings. Do not go shopping or to restaurants shop online or have family or friends deliver what you need to your door. Do not have visitors at your home. Only people who usually live with you should be in the home. You must avoid all contact with them and they must not sleep or be in the same room as you. People who live with you are not required to self-isolate unless they develop symptoms and need to get a COVID-19 test. If you must leave home to seek urgent medical care, wear a surgical mask. For more information about self-isolation, including how to safely do it while living with others, visit: www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidisoadvice

20.01.2022 It’s important all South Australians and anyone visiting SA keep getting tested for COVID-19 if they have any symptoms, no matter how mild. A test does not clea...r you of COVID-19 forever. If you develop new symptoms, you need to get tested, even if you have been negative in the past. High levels of testing has been a vital part of our continued success in the fight against COVID-19 in SA, allowing us to enjoy fewer restrictions and keeping South Australians safe. If you have any of these symptoms, no matter how mild, please get tested for COVID-19: fever or chills cough sore throat runny nose shortness of breath loss of taste and smell If you have symptoms but you’re not sure if it’s hayfever or allergies speak to your GP. Find a testing site near you: www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidtesting

20.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 TESTING INFORMATION People who are not required to get a test and people who do not have symptoms are asked to not attend COVID-19 testin...g sites. Visit www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidcontacttracing to find out if you are impacted by the Parafield Cluster AND are required to get tested. Please be prepared for extended waiting times. We are working hard to open new clinics, extend operating hours and put on more staff. If you are attending a walk-in site, bring sun protection (sunscreen, hat, umbrella) and a chair. Keep 1.5 metres between yourself and others in line and wear a mask if possible. You may wish to take someone with you to hold your place in line if you need to go to the bathroom. After your test: Go straight home. Avoid contact with other people. Stay in self-isolation until you receive a negative test result (in certain cases you may be required to remain in self-isolation or self-quarantine if directed to do so by SA Health or SA Police, even if you receive a negative test result).
