23.01.2022 Tissue Culture Australia is currently looking for a plant propagator to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis (20-25hrs). This role suits people who enjoy repetitive tasks, working independently and have a willingness to learn to improve performance and achieve targets. A Tissue Culture Production Operator is required to; Propagate plant cuttings in a laboratory setting using a scalpel and tweezers, closely following instructions and processes. Have attention to d...etail, and be precise with repetitive work. Have good hand-eye co-ordination to learn how to improve speed and efficiencies. Be punctual, reliable & self-motivated. Be open to training and regular feedback, with willingness to learn and improve. Have great communication skills to ask questions and discuss results. Work within a close team who are all striving to produce a high quality product. Enjoy teamwork and contributing to a successful business. This position does not require nursery or tissue culture experience; however an interest in plants is always an advantage. Formal qualifications will also be welcomed. All training in our processes and expectations are provided by our experienced staff, with targets set and feedback given along the way. Our operating hours are: Monday to Friday - 7am to 5.30pm. There are 2 x 5 hour shifts daily: 7am to 12pm & 12.30pm to 5.30pm. Roster is a fixed schedule but there is always potential to pick up extra shifts particularly in our busy periods.
