20.01.2022 Great panel discussion in Adelaide last night at an event organised by pre-seed global accelerator the 'Founder Institute' at The Moonshine Lab called 'How to Start a Global Startup'. Some key 'takeaways' for startup founders provided include: - Taking action is far more important than just more planning. - Knowledge is power only if you use it to take action.... - Recognise when continuous study such as reading books and online learning, overthinking etc. has become procrastination. Seek advice only if necessary and take action with the knowledge you already have instead. - After you have trimmed down your initial long to do lists, list 5 important things you have to do the next day and do them. - Set your intention at the beginning of the day - many just use 'system cards' but you can be as creative as you like. - When you are stuck take ANY action ! AKA 'be prolific not perfect' ! - Business coaches and mentors with startup experience in different industry sectors to yours will have more objectivity and benefit ! And don't be afraid to vent on your business coach or mentor - that's what they're there for ! See more

14.01.2022 So often I hear from professional service providers they are having difficulty generating leads. Here's the '5 P's' client-centric framework developed by 'Boutique Growth' to help you build your lead generation strategy: 1. "If your'e not laser focused on WHO your'e targeting and WHAT their pains and desires are, you'll never get their attention." You need to be quite specific who your 'Avatar(s)' or 'ideal client(s)' is and what they're thinking. This is critical.... 2. "You know who cares about your solutions? No one." The fees you can charge are directly proportional to the size of THEIR specific problem they know you can solve. 3. - "Prospects want to know you can take them to the promised land." You need a strong focus on the results or outcomes you can help them achieve, instead of your solutions. 4. - "Talk is cheap and attention is fleeting. If prospects don't believe you can deliver the goods, you're dead in the water." Prove you're the expert rather than just 'background noise'. 5. - "If there's no compelling case for action, status quo will reign supreme." Create a sense of urgency compelling your prospect to act now.
