20.01.2022 Fire Call Just before 11am Manton received a call to a grass fire. Luckily this fire was extinguished by the property owner. This is a good example of how easy a fire can start even in these cooler conditions.

14.01.2022 FACT: There will never be as many fire trucks as there are houses. Do not depend on a fire truck being available at your home. But if you and your home are well... prepared, you stand a better chance of surviving a bush fire. There are simple things you can do around your home to prepare it for a bush fire, like keeping the grass low and having a cleared area around your home. 10.01.2022 Yesterday Manton 1 crewed with 1 Manton member and members from Goodhope, Murrumbateman and Springfield brigades joined a strike team to the Port Macquarie area to assist with the flood clean up. Trucks from Taralga, Windellama, Sutton and Marulan made up the strike team along with a deputy group officer from the upper Lachlan. Thanks to all the members for making themselves available for the 5 day deployment

10.01.2022 MVA Callout Just before 2pm Manton 9 with one member and Manton 1 crewed with 5 members attended a MVA at the intersection of the Hume HWY and Yass Valley Way. Thank you to everyone who gave up some of their time on a long weekend.

05.01.2022 Shortly after 9am this morning Manton 9 with 1 crew member and Manton 1 with 3 crew members responded to a MVA on the Barton HYW.

05.01.2022 We often get asked what we do outside fire season and the truth is, we're pretty busy. Whilst Covid19 has presented some challenges in the way we train and mai...ntain our equipment schedules, we are extraordinarily proud of what Brigades have collectively achieved. With some adaptions to keep us all Covid19 safe, we have been able to continue to deliver service to our community as well as prepare in the lead up to the 2020/21 Fire Season. Want to help us by getting ready for Fire Season? Go to https://www.myfireplan.com.au/ and let's prepare safely together. Stay healthy! stay safe!
