02.01.2022 In a shocking ordeal reported through the Facebook post of a Section Forest Officer, a 15-year old pregnant wild elephant had met with a tragic death after few hooligans had fed her pineapple packed with firecrackers which eventually exploded in her mouth. The elephant died at Velliyar River in Malappuram, on May 27th, in a standing position with its trunk in the water. She didn’t harm a single human being even when she ran in searing pain in the streets of the village. She didn’t crush a single home.
