19.01.2022 So... l called up about my website today. The lovely guy, Jay, at Oz IT Solutions had his ear talked off (Poor thing! - l do talk a lot, as anyone who knows me, will attest to!) I haven’t been at all ready for the website, so l asked him to hold off a bit, but we made a plan today to get it all ready, so we can hit the button and Publish it, as soon as l get my act together! I think l might ask him to do a Shopify shop for me too. I couldn’t manage to do it myself (not my l...ine of business!) and l was never happy with it, so l deleted it. Jay, on the other hand, is an expert at doing them! If he can get it looking the way l want (or even halfway decent!), l shall be a very happy little pearl girl! Lol Watch this space! See more

08.01.2022 Designing web pages...

08.01.2022 Just checkin’ in and saying hello... I am still not working, but l have IDEAS... So many ideas that it would take me years to put them all together... l am however, gathering together all the different things that l would need for the execution of all these ideas, so when l have finally finished ploughing through all the crap l need to plough through, l will be able to sit down and just Create. Hope you like the yellow orchids! No - they aren’t mine - unfortunately.. lol

05.01.2022 The oyster is NOT hurt or killed when this is done. In fact, it has to be a couple of years old, in order to produce a pearl and with the 18 months or so that it takes to grow a sea-pearl, the oyster is pretty much at the end of its life-span anyway. And yes, some places harvest the oyster meat too.

04.01.2022 So here’s something you may, or may not know... Back in 2005, l was a fledgling Jewellery maker. I was originally going to sell the lovely Tahitian pearls l had just bought, as loose stones, but (after spending some time with a French Jewellery in Tahiti), l decided after a while, to set some in some Jewellery. The Rest, as they say, is History! I tried listing my first few pieces on eBay, but the fees at the time, were crippling. Browsing their forums one day, someone menti...oned a New auction site called Oztion. For Australian Sellers only, with zero listing fees and a low percentage fee, when the item sold. So l joined up, as member number 17,000-something. I made a lot of friends there, and with a lot of work, the site grew to half a million members. I managed to sell a fair bit of my Jewellery there, and built up a 100% Positive feedback rating, with over 400 transactions. I had repeat customers and was commissioned to make a couple of special pieces too. After a few years, the Oztion site was sold and became part of the Carsales network. It was also re-named, Quicksales. Unfortunately, at that point, sales died completely, and eventually many of the people l knew there, left and l did too. The link to my feedback was there for many years. Now though, Quicksales itself has gone belly-up and the site is now completely closed. I never really managed to re-establish a proper Selling Platform again afterwards. I am preparing for a damn good go, though! I have some gorgeous pieces in the pipeline! See more
