20.01.2022 Ryan is a Townsville local who has lost 12.4kg (over 10% of his body weight) since starting MAN v FAT Soccer in late 2020. Prior to signing up for MAN v FAT Soccer around 4 months ago, Ryan hadn’t played sport or participated in physical activity in over 5 years. He spent all his time working and looking after his 3 kids aged 6 and under, so never felt like he had the time to be active. After hearing about MAN v FAT Soccer on the radio, Ryan realised that it was possible f...or people like him to participate in soccer games and decided to sign up to his local league. Although Ryan’s team may not be the most successful on the pitch, he has found that his personal soccer skills have improved and tries to use this to inspire the other guys in his team. Ryan has found that he has more energy and is fitter than before, and has seen improvements in both his family and work lives as a result of his weight loss. If you’re sitting on the fence about taking the plunge and joining MAN v FAT Soccer, Ryan says, Just come play and have some fun. The first season of MAN v FAT Soccer for 2021 will begin kicking off around Australia from February 1.
