22.01.2022 Latest project - conversion of old style kitchen cupboard into an alcove for fridge. Complete removal of cupboard and plaster, and relined with new plasterboard.

21.01.2022 And just for something different. Repair of a piano stool which looks to have been repaired a few times before - the last effort using a nail gun?

20.01.2022 Just about finished - final coat of paint and skirting to be done.

18.01.2022 Started a new project today. Removing a decorative merbau screen/wall to open up yard area, and then construct a similar screen to enclose garage. Heres the progress thus far. Now you see it, now you don't.

17.01.2022 Roof access/ceiling repair - this was undertaken at a commercial property in Abbottsford. What cannot be seen is how high the hatch is - approximately 6 metres above a stairwell landing. Also painted stairwell for good measure.

09.01.2022 After a hiccup regarding missing tools, progress has continued on merbau screening. When finished, the carport will be completely enclosed. Customer also agreed to reposition access door - a good call as further timber rot was exposed.

08.01.2022 Completed the merbau screening today. Garden is opened up and carport is now enclosed.

05.01.2022 I built this deck 6mths ago. Didn't have an 'after' photo till now so it has that 'in use' look. None of that shiny (watered down, subtle lighting that real estate agents use) look around here. The bluestone block which has been incorporated into the deck design must be close to 300kgs - try rolling that around on your own!

04.01.2022 As with a lot of outdoor projects - its only once you make a start that you discover some of the problems with poorly prepared timber exposed to the elements. None of the rot was obvious beforehand - hidden by a coat of paint.

02.01.2022 Repair of picket fence and gate. Like most jobs, not as straight forward as it appears - neighbours steps were migrating to wrong side of fence. Still need to attach gate.
