25.01.2022 Jon took me back to basics on how the body is connected, and importantly how my feet are an important factor to my body functioning as it should. Jon is able to calmly and clearly describe the function of the foot and how it works with the body to give me a really good understanding of why we are doing what we were and how it will benefit me. His approach is educational. He doesn’t just give you the answer to everything, and instead helps guide you to the answer which makes ...it all the more a great learning experience. If you’re sport or hobby requires you to use your feet, you should train them, just like any other body part. Jack has been fantastic for his team this season and credit to the hard work he puts in off the field. A great example of a journey from pain to performance. Is pain holding you back? Here is what you will get: 1: () The first session will be a full postural and movement assessment, assessing your joint mobility and movement patterns to find the cause of your pain, not just treat the symptoms. ... We can then start to design your individual blueprint creating efficient and pain free movement patterns. 2 - 6: You will have five more 45 minute Exercise Physiology sessions spaced out fortnightly so you can work on the exercise progressions given in each session and we can gradually increase the difficulty of the movements. : You will receive a custom and individualised exercise programs for you to use moving forward to support your body long term.

07.01.2022 You may have a neutral foot You may have a flat foot You may have a high arch You may have a combination between left and right feet... Whatever your foot shape/ shapes, they should be able to move! So the expensive shoes and orthotics that are designed to stabilise and support the foot can be unnecessarily restricting movement,. Not only through the feet but as a compensatory effect through the entire body which is why we can link so many injuries back to the feet! The two shapes your foot should be able to make are pronation and supination. They are commonly and incorrectly referred to as rolling in and rolling out. There is an element of rolling in and rolling out but they are just 2 elements of the 6 movements to create the shapes the foot needs for tension to flow evenly through the entire body. ? 04.01.2022 It may give you some temporary pain relief and there are many benefits to rolling out your feet but it will not fix your #plantarfasciitis The soft tissue you are rolling out and trying to stretch is ultimately dictated by the joints (33 joints in each foot). If those joints cannot move, then tension cannot flow and presents its self as pain in the form of plantar fasciitis. Scroll down to watch how the joints dictate how the muscles react.

We rarely think about lifting the opposite arm when stepping forwards to run, but it happens either way. ... This is how I look at pain. You may be feeling pain in your knee, but it may not be the knee causing the pain. Could it be that a sprained ankle or a shoulder surgery has impacted the whole body and how you hold yourself which is now impacting the knee?? Looking at the interactions between each joint to the next and beyond can help us find the route of the pain. Often we feel like we need to live with the card we have been dealt.
