10.01.2022 Safety. A modern day buzzword. Often tossed around or given some lip service. Seldom translating to much in reality. By its very nature construction is a high risk industry. It’s dynamic nature, combined with overlapping trades working in parallel or sequentially and a high probability of human error renders building a highly dangerous environment.... For this reason safety forms an integral part of our business, managed in a top down approach. Prior to any working day a toolbox talk is delivered by our site managers to our workers outlining the planned work activities for the day along with associated hazards and risks followed by mitigating measures to be taken. These toolbox talks help create a proactive and upfront safety culture within our ranks and form the corner stone of our daily operations safety strategy. More to come soon. #mapledc #dowhatyoulove

07.01.2022 Under the watchful eye of the harbour bridge, our teams work meticulously, preparing and stiffening the old Ironbark wharf frames to bear the loads of their new occupants. Initially constructed in the 1920’s, these wharf buildings were thought highly-innovative structures and subsequently catered to international shipping for many years. The redevelopment of these heritage buildings will restore the industrial character of the wharves while ensuring that their historical leg...acy continue. 04.01.2022 When designing the rear addition to this late 1800’s Lilyfield farm cottage it was imperative to our Client that the space embraced natural lighting to become bright and open, while including period features to ensure a seamless transition from old to new. For this reason great care was taken when finalising material selection to ensure this balance was maintained. We opted for exposed rafters with a pine v grooves cathedral style ceiling, this style brings with it a rustic...ity that lends itself well to these heritage builds and a texture that complements the old weather board cladding.
