08.01.2022 Polaris hawkeye 300cc came in for a few repairs a while back, here at Mapson Mechanical we try think outside the box to save our customers money! First thing I did was re-wire and replace the original starter solenoid and fit it into a acccesible location, I used a universal $25.00 mower solenoid, saving money on genuine polaris parts and making furture replacments so easy saving big labour fee's. Second was the exhaust I got a genuine quote for the header and exhaust for thi...s model and it was just short of $1600.00 which is rediculous almost more valuable then the bike itself making the repair practically impossible, so I offered to repair the original header removing the rusted section and welding in some flex pipe and installed a universal muffler looks and sounds great for a much much smaller price of approx $100.00 muffler and couple hours labour. 07.01.2022 This rideon mower just slightly overdue for a service! Recommended engine servicing *Engine oil 25hrs ... *Engine oil & oil filter 50hrs *Or 6 months But this is condition dependant too, if its dry and your basically mowing dirt the engine is breathing in alot of extra dust/grit it's better to get the dirty oil out before it causes excessive internal damage! 07.01.2022 Honda pushmower in for a service and repair, fair bit of corrosion in the carby due to a substantial amount of water in the fuel tank. Always best to get things repaired sooner rather then later to avoid snowballing issues, this one was lucky and cleaned up in the ultrasonic cleaner
