23.01.2022 Today is Rememberance Day. Lest we forget. #remembertoremember

23.01.2022 Our school values are an integral part of who we are as a people and as a community. They are the things that we believe are important. Values have a major influence on a person's behaviour and attitude. Every day and every moment, they serve as broad guidelines in all situations in the choices we make and the actions we take. They are not just for our students but parents, carers, staff and our whole community! In Term 1, we will be focusing on our school value of Relations...hips. To find out how we can strive to nurture our connection with others, have a look at the Principal's Message in our latest newsletter. https://newsletters.naavi.com/i/L5oR6/term-1-issue-1/page/2

19.01.2022 We will be celebrating Indigenous Literacy Day on Wednesday 2nd September in a variety of ways this year. First, you can join in the virtual celebrations with The Indigenous Literacy Foundation via the link below. Second, our next Wellbeing Wednesday will be based on a wonderful day of Indigenous literacy and cultural activities to join in the celebrations.... Also, each class will host a live reading of an Indigenous text through WebEx at some point during the week to provide more time for classes to share, celebrate and appreciate Indigenous literature. We have also created our own fundraiser through Everyday Hero https://give.everydayhero.com/au/maramba-primary-school with the collected funds being donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Once of the difficulties facing literacy amongst our Indigenous communities is the lack of books. We would greatly appreciate it if you could help support this wonderful cause by making a small donation as every little bit helps. Every $10 raised puts a book into the hands of a child in remote Australia. Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/events/275289313767232?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22search_results%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22search%22%7D]%7D
