25.01.2022 And that’s a wrap! After a big week, our MCS 50th Anniversary Festival has come to an end. We trust you’ve had the chance to connect with others, be challenged and had some time to reflect on all we’ve managed to do together this year. Thank you to those who made this possible, our teaching and admin staff, students and families. Enjoy a well earned weekend everyone! God bless and enjoy the sunshine

24.01.2022 Music time in our ELC

24.01.2022 There continues to be many firsts in our school life this year. Recently our Junior School sites held a virtual lunchtime concert. This is usually a very exciting occasion that occurs in the music room. This year there was a new excitement in the air as it was all done online, allowing the most family participation ever.

23.01.2022 Welcome back Officer students and staff! We're so grateful you are back with us again.

22.01.2022 A small pick-me-up pack went out to all Secondary students this week. Middle and Senior School Pastoral Leaders wanted to pop in and say We miss you!, hang in there, take a break when you need to and remember how far youve all come. We are proud of each and every one of you. Youve STILL got this!

22.01.2022 We are grateful for this today

22.01.2022 And to close out this school term, the amazing Mrs Mitchell invented a new and engaging activity in her Social Zoom on a Friday afternoon (a safe space created for students to hang out, chat, play games and importantly build relationship). She created scenes using the whiteboard feature and gave the students a theme to which they had to collaborate to create a scene. They thoroughly enjoyed it and the pictures clearly show that! Some of the creations included: A forest S...pace Beach Underwater Party The Zoo It was a fabulous end to yet another term. Well done to all the students for their resilience and energy. Now time to relax everyone. See more

19.01.2022 Suns out today as work on our Junior School building continues. How exciting

19.01.2022 Yesterday was a screen free day across all sites. Our at school group achieved this by enjoying a game of hopping rock paper scissors, vertical connect four and finished off with a game of hula hut. Each team had a teacher play with them. Talk about adding come competitiveness to everything!

19.01.2022 Year 3 and 4 students studied ‘Chemical Science - Material Properties’ as their subject focus for Inquiry. As part of the unit, students participated in an online science incursion hosted by ‘Mad about Science’. The experience involved a series of hands-on experiments and exciting live demonstrations to test the material properties of various items. The highlight of this experience for the students was creating a brightly coloured putty and a milk polymer.

19.01.2022 Some of our Junior School students received a special encouragement from our Sports Teacher, Mrs Inman. It was an ISO journal for them to record their thoughts and attitudes but importantly to be encouraged during this unique season. Today is R U OK day, it seems it is a timely reminder to all of us to check in on someone we care about and encourage them as well. The bible tells us to Be strong and courageous... for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6. Take a moment to remember this truth and then pass it on to someone who needs it. Have a great day and be sure to enjoy some of this sunshine

16.01.2022 Our ELC are learning about all the amazing people who work to support our local communities like the police force. Pre preps dressed up as police officers and learnt about traffic lights and road signs. To top it off, they made traffic light biscuits and enjoyed them for afternoon tea!

Students are keenly awaiting the potato harvest so they can enjoy some organic hot chips. The garden to plate unit is thoroughly enjoyed by all.

02.01.2022 Helpful reminder as we start a new week Gently encourage& reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to their individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each others nerves you dont snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out. 1 Thess 5:13 MSG... Thanks for this encouragement Yolanda Charalambous
