22.01.2022 Brave Pet Winner : Jack Jack was found knuckling over (flexion of the front fetlock joints/ contracted tendons) and barely able to stand. Lucky for him, his new mum (human mum, Bridget) found him, scooped him up, and bought him back to a pen where he was fed and cared for and his legs could be splinted. After a few weeks of bandage changes he now has his splints off, his legs are straightening well and he can run and play. Well done darling Jack, what a cute little Calfie you are

18.01.2022 Super Brave Pet Winner : Kit Kat Kit Kat’s owners went out for a short period of time and left Kit Kat safely locked in the house (or so they thought). Kit Kat is a bit of rascal and likes to climb and jump as most young cats do but somehow she managed to injure her leg. On the owners return she was noted not to using one of her legs so she was presented to the practice. After sedation and xrays it was noted she had a very nasty break through her elbow joint. Even with advanc...e orthopaedic repair her joint would require fusion and would not function normally, so the decision was made to remove her leg. Whilst She didn’t like her short hospital stay we are pleased to report we were able to get her home quickly where she made a speedy recovery. We are so very proud of her.! Well done Kit Kat we are pleased to know you’re back to playing and ruling the house .... just don’t get up to too much mischief See more

15.01.2022 Brave pet winner Rex! Rex is one of tiniest snake bite envenomation patients we have treated. At only 4 months old we were unsure if his treatment would be successful, but the little trooper gradually improved and did us proud, he recovered and returned to his lovely family (although many of our staff were hoping for another clinic mascot ). Well done little man.

07.01.2022 Brave Pet winner : Chilli Chilli stumbled over a snake in long grass, her owner was walking with her and didn’t see or think the snake had bitten her. Shortly later, Chilli became quiet and didn’t want her dinner (definitely not normal for her) so her fast thinking mum called us and rushed her in. Her eyes were dilated and poorly responsive to light and her blood was not clotting. She recieved prompt antivenom treatment and due to early treatment , before symptoms progressed to weakness and paralysis, she was able to go home the following day. Well done Brave girl, and good work to her mum

04.01.2022 Microchipping is essential
