25.01.2022 Dominic was flying at RPM2019 but came up 30 sec. shy of record. I'm sure he can pick that up this year!

24.01.2022 RIVERLAND PADDLING MARATHON at this point of time we are full steam ahead with plans for 2020! We are well under 500 people & probably under 200. Should we call it off prior to 10/5, which is not even in the thought process, we will fully refund anyone who is paid. ALSO should any entrant consider it is possible they have Covid 19 we will give them a full refund & send you the race shirt.... Here is a photo of something causing more of a concern than Covid 19 See more

24.01.2022 Regular RPM paddler Brodie Cambourne has advised she is looking to recreate the RPM200 as part of her training for the 24 Hour Race on 30/5-1/6 on Lakes Canjola &/or Berringer NSW. Lake Canjola Area was hit hard by recent Bush Fires & Brodie is looking to make people aware that, while there is much work to be done, it has started coming back. Brodie is a Team Woodeneye & Makai Paddler who brings other paddlers to the RPM &, like many of you, is a little lost without the cool... breazes of the RIverland Padding Marathon on the Queens Birthday weekend. Brodie plans to do 76km 30/5 69km 31/5 63km 1/6 She has asked you to wear an Hawaiian Shirt so she can pick out the supporters. If/When we hear a course we will let you know further. Stay safe & get your paddle wet when you can!

20.01.2022 In these hard times the best way to keep 1.5m from anyone is to go paddling! Then you will be ready for the RPM! Entries are open & 200s & 200 relays seam popular

20.01.2022 IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET THAT WE ANNOUNCE THAT THE 2020 RPM WILL NOT BE PROCEEDING Please all still get out on the water whenever possible as it is one of life's great pleasures that is still allowed at this point. I have instructed Treasurer to process all 100% refunds.

11.01.2022 Archive Photo from previous RPMS OK not really BUT we are not known as THE COOLEST PADDLING MARATHON IN AUSTRALIA for our personalities! Now that you are all committed & paid, mostly, we would like to point out that it is often SUBZERO at the 200 start, & is cooling again by the finish for all paddlers.... SO PLEASE READ THIS SECTION & PLAN FOR COOL WEATHER https://riverlandpaddlingmarathon.com//cold-weather-marath On the plus side, when you step into the Murray it in the morning it feels warm compared to the air! 03.01.2022 Calling all Paddlers Your attention in drawn to a notable paddlers race on the Derwent River as part of the 183rd anniversary Royal Hobart Regatta on Saturday 6 February 2021. Known as the two bridges race, this event will commence at 9am in front of the Royal Hobart Regatta grounds. It is a 15km race for experienced paddlers through the Tasman Bridge, on to the Bowen Bridge and return to the finish line off the Regatta Grounds. The Prize pool is yet to be confirmed.... Place getters will be presented with gold, silver and bronze medal and all participants will be issued with a 183rd anniversary medallion. We will be providing rubber matting on the ramps at the Regatta grounds to protect your craft when being launched and retrieved. We appreciate that some may choose to paddle to the Regatta Grounds. The race is scheduled to start at 9am. Details of race rules and registration details will be provided to you following registration. http://www.royalhobartregatta.com/Kayak%20and%20Canoeing.ht Kind regards, Alec Young, RFD Operations Manager Royal Hobart Regatta Association

03.01.2022 Would have been a cool start to day 3! -6 & we would be at first checkpoint.

01.01.2022 just to confirm TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE & PLANNING THE RIVERLAND PADDLING MARATHON will be going ahead in 2020. We will also be giving a 100% refund to anyone who has entered & paid if we are forced to call it off. A decision will be made in early May. There are not many things you can still do at the moment so we suggest keep training as its safer on the water than nearly anywhere else!
