12.01.2022 Do you ever have that watched feeling? Last weekend we provided two days of tangled netting amusement for this indolent Roo. It lay above us all, grazing and sunning itself while down below nets were threaded over the geriatric SAME tractor (circa 1950s Wow its maybe 75 yrs old???) and a team of ten performed the annual miracle of getting all the trees covered, pegged and holes mended before serious bird season. Grateful thanks to driver Paul, team leaders Pip and Mike, houseguests Dexter and Theo, basketballers Julian and Charlie, and more family: Ron, Allie, Claire, Lachlan and Bri. All fuelled on Helen's home made pizzas (Vegan too), chicken sandies, egg and bacon pies, brownies, rock cakes, ginger biscuits, lemon slice and #farmersunionicedcoffee

I have just come back from the cherries and have been impressed with how good the Stella cherries are. It looks as though keeping them supplied with plenty of water has protected them. - see the attached photo taken a few minutes ago. They dont seem to have suffered from the heat. Variety: Van $11/ kg good intense flavour, but only medium size. About 90% will be ripe. Look under the leaves - they like to hide there. Stella. $14/kg; big cherry, good flavour. New Release.
