03.01.2022 Marburg show Society hopes everyone is doing well during Covid 19 social distancing. We are missing seeing seeing everyone dancing, laughing, talking and enjoying themselves at the Marburg Dance Hall. We are keeping a close eye on the regulations around when we can start the dances up again. I just downloaded - Covid Safe Events in Queensland (Covid19.qld.gov.au) and it still says in section 52 - Page 37 - 'Dancing is not permitted at events'. So sadly we won't be able to ...start the Marburg Dances for a while. One of the White Heather Members has been unwell, but is getter better each day. They are looking forward to playing for us as soon as we can start again. I hope all the other bands are all okay and we look forward to hearing them play again when possible. Sue - Secretary
02.01.2022 2020 Marburg Show Christmas Carnival is cancelled. After lots of discussion, the Committee made the very difficult and sad decision to cancel the Christmas Carnival this year, due to Covid 19. We feel that with the restrictions that are in place, we would not be able to implement a Covid Plan to a high enough standard to keep everyone safe and not put anyones health at risk. The Show Society hopes all the Children and their families have a lovely Christmas and New Year. ...We hope to make Christmas Carnival for 2021 bigger and better. Thanks Sue Kunde, Secretary.
