24.01.2022 We love to see our amazing members being acknowledged for their equally amazing achievements. Four of our members were recently recognised for their contributions to the horrific 2019/20 NSW bushfire season. The members, along with many others who traveled to NSW were awarded the NSW Premier's Bushfire Emergency Citation. Congratulations and thank-you to Jenny, Tina, Stewart and Stephen.

21.01.2022 IMPORTANT - when reporting any fires or other emergency incident you must only ring 000. As much as we love to chat with our local stakeholders it does not provide any faster response and loses valuable time. In all circumstances call 000 so the Firecom staff can send the correct resources (including Police and Ambulance if needed) as quickly as possible. On another point we are being dispatched to fires that have been deliberately lit by property owners without a permit. An...y fire larger than 2m x 2m requires a permit Obtaining a permit is free and ensures you as the landholder understand your responsibilities and liabilities. Additionally it saves us getting called out because Firecom are aware of your burn at the time you are doing it. Thanks Duty Officer
