06.01.2022 Even tho our season has been extended to the end of the year due to COVID , today would normally be the end of our harness season. That being said we have once again bettered our last season winners which is a goal we set every season! At the moment we are sitting 3rd on the Tasmanian ladder and we are also sitting 4th in Australia with starters to winners %, Fantastic effort by the whole team

SHADY LOU We rehomed shady a few years ago , his first home did not work out but he has landed on his feet enjoying his best life with a lovely family in hillwood Tasmania with kellie Hyde. We only gave shady the one race start , we’re we discovered he had a soft pallet problem , and we just knew he would make someone a lovely horse after racing Here is what kellie has to say about the beautiful boy shady "SHADY LOU" Our SHADY Boy.We were lucky enough to find this beautiful boy just over 2 years ago, we are his 3rd and final home. My husband and I were so lucky to find him,I bought him for my " husband " but I steal him on occasions with his cheeky ,endearing nature..and his love for exploring the bush we were really impressed as Shady is our first Standard Bred horse.I'm yet to meet anyone that doesn't love this big gorgeous character thanks so much to Butler Racing for giving me all the details of his racing career and being so interested in his journey after racing Thank you kellie for giving this lovely boy a forever home Tasracing Australia #tasracingoffthetrack

06.09.2021 Yesterday’s inconceivable tragedy has touched the hearts of all Australians. The loss of the five little souls has affected us all and they, along with their f...amilies, friends and the wider Devonport community are in our thoughts and prayers. Although no amount of money will ever replace the five innocent lives lost, the Racing Clubs of Tasmania and associations have banded together with the goal of raising $40,000 to assist the families and community get through this tragic event. So far we have had the following donations Tasmanian Trotting Club $1000 Tasmanian Racing Club $1000 Launceston Pacing Club $1000 Tasmanian Turf Club $1000 Devonport Racing Club $1000 Burnie Harness Racing Club $500 Light Harness Tasmania $500 Tasmanian Jockey Association $1000 Club Menangle ( Harness NSW) $5000 Albion Park ( Harness Queensland) $1000 Harness Racing Australia $1500 There will be additional fund raising at the dual code meeting at Hobart on Sunday. If you wish to donate please contact the club. As Tasracing has agreed to match every dollar raised, on a dollar for dollar basis (up to $20,000) and mindful of the generosity and preparedness of our Industry to ‘step up’ and help those in their time of need, we are aiming to raise in excess of $40,000. We hope to use funds raised or a long term program to support the families and the school community
