09.01.2022 Try out this Vegan BBQ Taco Recipe... easy entertaining for everyone! Ingredients Dona Cholita tortillas 1 tbsp olive oil... sliced red onion 1 packet Uptons BBQ Jackfruit 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp Sabarac chilli sauce (choose your own heat level!) 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari 2tsp sugar 1tsp sesame oil Freshly ground pepper 1+1/2 cups shredded cabbage 1 cup shredded carrots 2 sliced green onions 2 tbsp chopped cilantro Method 1. Combine the vinegar, chilli sauce, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil in a large mixing bowl. Taste and adjust flavours and add pepper to taste. Mix in the cabbage, carrots, green onions and cilantro. Chill in the fridge while completing the next steps. 2. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium high heat. Saut the onions for 3-4 minutes then add the jackfruit. Continue to cook until the jackfruit until heated through, breaking up the larger pieces. 3. To assemble tacos, add 2-3 tbsp of jackfruit to a tortilla and top with slaw. You can also choose to add slices of avocado and grated vegan cheese. Top with hot sauce and additional BBQ sauce if desired.
