23.01.2022 Crew introduction number 4 is Curtis (Braz). Curtis is our first 1st year apprentice, hes in his second year now though, as hes been with us for 18 months. Although hes an apprentice Carpenter/Joiner when he first started with us he also tried his hand at car body works when he almost succeeded in cutting off the wheel arch of the trailer with the cordless electric saw. Curtis is a valued member of our awesome team and if he happens to be working on a project of yours youre in great hands. Thanks Curtis.

14.01.2022 As we are fast approaching the busiest time of the year, we would like to advise our current and potential clients that we are and will continue to work to the best of our abilities to deliver our services and products in a timely manner. All industries are working together to try meet deadlines, and unfortunately occasionally this doesn't happen due to such high demand. From all of us at Marcol, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during this chaotic time of the year.

13.01.2022 Meet Ricky. Ricky has been with us for just over a year now and can be seen on any of our sites along the North West. Last winter he spent a few weeks working on the West Coast Wilderness Railway helping build an amenities block where he taught Braz quite a few life lessons like identifying Tree Wallabies and how to swear. Ricky can generally work as fast as he talks making him loud but quite productive. Thanks Ricky.

11.01.2022 As business owners we recognise how lucky we are to be still able to work during this difficult time, we are definitely not taking anything for granted. So to shine a little cheer and also to help our fellow local business owners we have decided to run a weekly competition for the next few weeks. 10.01.2022 We are well overdue for a new group photo but for obvious reasons its impossible at the moment so we are going to introduce you to each of our team members one at a time. So With a crew full of blokey blokes they wont want their picture taken so I will break the ice by introducing myself first. My name is Maria and Im the invisible part of Marcol Construction hidden away in the office. Im also half of our namesake, being the MAR in Marcol. The FaceBook posts and competitions are usually my doing, i make sure our crew are all paid on time and are happy (so theyre always nice to me ) , I buy the sausages and cook the BBQ and I pay the bills. Next week Ill introduce you to another of our crew members, The Silver Fox.

06.01.2022 Its time to introduce you to our next team member. Meet our loyal friend Hans (Schuie). He has been with Marcol for a year this week so congratulations on your anniversary Hans, but hes been a friend for much longer. Hans is our lead carpenter and we wish we had more just like him, if we did we would never have to use another electrician either because "Many Hans make light work ". . Hans thinks his hair is a bit long for a photo but he has nothing on 50% of our crew, if they all got a haircut wed be able to start a wig shop, besides who can even get a haircut these days.

05.01.2022 Just thought we had better pop out to The Heads for a look before we left town and timed it perfectly to see the Harbour Master visiting Hells Gates. What a beautiful place in the world.

05.01.2022 Were having such a great response to our "support a Local" competition, its heartwarming to see so many of us willing to rally around our own and loving our town. Umami Cafe do such a great job with their coffee and healthy snacks and always with a friendly face (particularly Damo standing in the corner ready to greet everyone that comes through the door). 01.01.2022 Our next crew introduction has to be the fearless leader. Meet Colin, my business partner. Some people like to call him The Silver Fox. Hes been in the building game for over 25 years, hence the greys, hes a little sensitive about them though so please dont mention it in the comments. Colin is the COL to my MAR (strictly business sense only) making MARCOL. Colins role is varied but these days you either find him on the phone or on the toilet.... oops I mean in the office. Colin does the quoting and travels here and there drinking takeaway coffee, snacking on fingernails and checking on worksites. Colins quote of the day is toughen up.
