22.01.2022 Crew introduction number 4 is Curtis (Braz). Curtis is our first 1st year apprentice, he’s in his second year now though, as he’s been with us for 18 months. Although he’s an apprentice Carpenter/Joiner when he first started with us he also tried his hand at car body works when he almost succeeded in cutting off the wheel arch of the trailer with the cordless electric saw. Curtis is a valued member of our awesome team and if he happens to be working on a project of yours you’re in great hands. Thanks Curtis.

22.01.2022 Meet Ricky. Ricky has been with us for just over a year now and can be seen on any of our sites along the North West. Last winter he spent a few weeks working on the West Coast Wilderness Railway helping build an amenities block where he taught Braz quite a few life lessons like identifying Tree Wallabies and how to swear. Ricky can generally work as fast as he talks making him loud but quite productive. Thanks Ricky.

Our retail businesses are so important to our little town and they’re all doing it so tough right now. So we chose to support LEMON TREE PROVIDORE this week. 13.01.2022 Our next crew introduction has to be the fearless leader. Meet Colin, my business partner. Some people like to call him The Silver Fox. He’s been in the building game for over 25 years, hence the greys, he’s a little sensitive about them though so please don’t mention it in the comments. Colin is the COL to my MAR (strictly business sense only) making MARCOL. Colin’s role is varied but these days you either find him on the phone or on the toilet.... oops I mean in the office. Colin does the quoting and travels here and there drinking takeaway coffee, snacking on fingernails and checking on worksites. Colin’s quote of the day is toughen up.

08.01.2022 It’s time to introduce you to our next team member. Meet our loyal friend Hans (Schuie). He has been with Marcol for a year this week so congratulations on your anniversary Hans, but he’s been a friend for much longer. Hans is our lead carpenter and we wish we had more just like him, if we did we would never have to use another electrician either because "Many Hans make light work ". . Hans thinks his hair is a bit long for a photo but he has nothing on 50% of our crew, if they all got a haircut we’d be able to start a wig shop, besides who can even get a haircut these days.

03.01.2022 We're having such a great response to our "support a Local" competition, it's heartwarming to see so many of us willing to rally around our own and loving our town. Umami Cafe do such a great job with their coffee and healthy snacks and always with a friendly face (particularly Damo standing in the corner ready to greet everyone that comes through the door). I'll be deciding over the weekend which will be our next business to support in next week's competition. Please fee...l free to give me ideas of your favourite local business that needs support.
