25.01.2022 UPDATE: Coronavirus Third Stimulus Package - Wage Subsidy for Impacted Business Yesterday, the Government announced a Jobkeeper payment which proposes to make available to eligible employers who have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus to pass to their employees. Eligible employers, that are financially impacted by the Coronavirus, continue to keep the employees on their book, and paying the minimum of $1,500 (gross)per fortnight to eligible employees starting 1 Marc...h 2020. Although the appropriate legislation has not been enacted, we understand that the intention is for this payment to be made available to all permanent employees( full time and part time) and those casual employees who had been engaged by the same employer for 12 months or more. At this stage, employees are required to be Australian citizens, permanent visa holders and New Zealanders who hold a subclass 444 visa to receive the payment. 07.01.2022 As I sit here in my bean bag I cant help but wander how approximately 170,000 homeless people are doing tonight. 17,000 of them kids under 12. Too often we whinge and moan about life but really what is there to whinge about. We take so much for granted, we complain about what dinner we are having when thousands would go to bed hungry, we complain over a whose turn it is on the play station or iPad when thousands would be happy to have a warm bed to sleep in. Being out here tonight is a reality check because words and photos cant really describe the feeling. Only by walking in ones shoes would we really have an appreciation of what its like.
