25.01.2022 I quite like simplicity in photos. Something such as a dilapidated shed out in the middle of a farm can be very emotive.

25.01.2022 I call this one Cloudy Billabong. I like the dark contrasts.

24.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day, to all the wonderful Mothers out ther, without whom we would not be here. From all of us here at Marcus P Photography, and our motivational sister site. :)

20.01.2022 I took this photo at the annual Tenterfield Rodeo. Sometimes it can be tricky to get the right shot when doing action photos.

20.01.2022 I hope everyone has an awesome Easter, and a great day.

20.01.2022 Shooting an Audio Test & Tune today (also called a Soud-off) at Autobarn Beenleigh.

19.01.2022 I'd almost forgotten how pretty the beaches in Sydney are, even on a cloudy winter day. Hopefully the weather this weekend can be nice and give me the chance to get a few pics on my rushed interstate visit.

17.01.2022 Hi all. I'm going to be having a stall tomorrow (Sat 16th May) at the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre stall day between 1pm and 4pm. They are located at 10 James Street, along mansfield Walk, in beenleigh.... I'll be there for a chat or you can view some of my images. Hope to see some of you there. :)

16.01.2022 One of the things I really like in a photo, and it's a simple thing to do, is lens flare. You can't have it in every image, but in the right one, I think it looks great.

14.01.2022 Sometimes something as simple as building architecture viewed from different angles can give interesting perspective and texture.

13.01.2022 Early morning shoot for Selzer Fitness

11.01.2022 A couple of the images from the Japanese National Titles drift day at Queensland Raceway.

11.01.2022 Well, back from my trip. Was very wet all weekend....and cold. With my schedule, I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked, and my trusty 20yr old + tripod finally gave up on me. It has always been faithful and sturdy, and did the best it could. Time to give it a funeral and search for a new one that I like as much. Anyway, the images I did get, I'll be editing this week. Hope you are all doing really well and stay tuned for some more new images coming up.

10.01.2022 New promotional banner arrived today. Time to get everything together for my display stall coming up on Sat 16th May at the Beenleigh Neighborhood Centre. Hope to see some of you there as I'll have a few images on sale.

09.01.2022 The Story Bridge in Brisbane. On a long exposure it looks quite pretty and is quite a popular photography destination.

06.01.2022 When taking photos of moving objects we are always taught to use a high shutter speed to 'freeze' the image so that it doesn't 'blur'. The down side to this when photographing certain aspects of motor sports is that you don't quite catch the feeling of action (as in Pic 1 with the white car). Look at the wheels and you will notice that they look still, or static. The car seems as if it is not moving. But if you lower your shutter speed a little and 'track' the car you can capture the feeling of the motion (as in Pic 2 with the cream coloured car). Look at the wheels in the second photo and you can feel the action in the image.

05.01.2022 All set up.... (sort of)... A bit windy. Hopefully the weather will hold off. Up here at the Beenleigh Neighborhood Centre.

01.01.2022 Anzac Day. A special time for all Australians. But more so this year as we pass 100 years since the end of The Great War. There have been many conflicts since. There are many going on right now. And, unfortunately, I'm sure there will be more to come.... But as long as we remember those who gave everything to keep us free and make this country great, and why they did so, then we can be proud to call ourselves Australians. See more
