24.01.2022 On the descent back to the township after 3 days of hiking, the thick rain cloud began to dissipate and revealed the gorgeous lake #Ullswater. We descended down the first hill to see this lovely angle of this tree, gripping itself to the rock face on the side of this cliff. The scene was rather picaresque. 23.01.2022 After 2 days of hard slog, up steep ascents, and hiking through thick rain cloud, we finally got a bit of a respite. Heading back down towards the local town. It was the first time in two days that our raincoats began to dry. This gorgeous little tree was poking down over a small stream far below. The moment was stunning. It had been a while since I’d been able to see more than 100m in front of me. 15.01.2022 I finally made it! After over a year of living in the UK, I finally made the effort to get up to the Lake District for some hiking and wild camping. After far too many @heatonthomas and @nigel.danson videos, I made the drive up. 15.01.2022 Everyone loves a lonely tree. Especially this gem, located in the very frequented Richmond Park in London, UK. This particular shot was taken during sunset, while battling the wind and overeager ducks. All the while fending off some very scary looking geese who were quite persistent at harassing me. 09.01.2022 Isn’t it amazing how these birds and this deer have a beneficial relationship with each other? From my understanding, these birds eat ticks and other parasites off the deer, while this also provides the birds with food. We could learn something from this interaction, in the way we treat each other and the world we live on. As an amateur landscape photographer, I catch myself out with taking the planet for granted at times, and indulge on the comforts our consumeristic menta...lity does to us. It’s important to at least take a step back from time to time and self reflect on what you could be doing even a little bit better to preserve this wonderful planet we live on.
