25.01.2022 Arrangements for the start of Term 2 at Marden remain as previously communicated - classes to run as scheduled via remote delivery and not face to face at school. However, the college will remain open for students to continue their learning at school under supervised study conditions. These are the arrangements for the first week. Plans beyond this will be communicated on Thursday 30 April.

25.01.2022 Congratulations to our two teams from the Food Processing class who participated in the Culinary Challenge last Monday - Carissa Fischer and Domin Joseph; Georgia Lynch and Jade Brusnahan. Both teams achieved Bronze medals!

12.01.2022 WHAT IS HAPPENING AT MARDEN IN TERM 2? In brief, arrangements for the first four weeks of Term 2 are: the majority of students will be learning from home... normal scheduled lesson times will continue with lesson by lesson details provided on Daymap as a starting point for those unable to continue their learning at home, the library will be available as a safe, supervised study area during the day. Learning at school will be available the same as it is for students at home. Subject teachers will not be available face to face. Watch for an email coming on 20 April with details. This email will include a short survey seeking a response to your how you/your child intends to continue learning. Matters are changing quickly and these arrangements, in place for the first four weeks, will be reviewed in response to the COVID-19 situation and their effectiveness for learners and their families.

09.01.2022 COVID-19 (Coronavirus) While there have so far been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Department for Education sites, it is important that we are prepared for the possibility. 02.01.2022 Congratulations to our student Max who won a place to attend the Defence Work Experience: Cyber Security and Robotics at Australian Cyber Security Centre, in Canberra from 25-29 November 2019. As part of the Yr12 Cyber Security Integrated Learning course the class was invited to participate in a Capture the Flag event held at the Joint Cyber Security Centre for cyber professionals. While our class was participating in the event, one of the organisers from the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) told our group of the opportunity for students to participate in a 5 day Work Shadowing Internship at ASD and how to apply. Max who has a keen interest in Cyber Security took it upon himself to apply and succeeded in gaining a place in the program.
