Staff member Wendy from Ace Variety Discount Store, Maclean recently held a Christmas Market stall for the residents, giving them the opportunity to shop for some decorations and gifts. ... We also had some lovely candles for sale from local lady, Julie of Crystal Flame- hand made soy candles set in stunning glassware in a range of beautiful fragrances. Easter Bunny done the rounds today handing out Easter gifts to all the residents. (He was a Safety Bunny and followed safe contact methods when delivering his goodies)... We would like to say a big thank you to Belinda Cameron who made and donated beautiful oragami style book marks and paper cranes which we used in our gift packs. 18.01.2022 R U OK Day Thursday 10th September 2020 A snippet from the R U OK Website ruok.org.au THERE'S MORE TO SAY AFTER R U OK?'... 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. In the lead-up to R U OK?Day we’ll help Australians know what to say when someone says they’re not OK and guide them through how they can continue a conversation that could change a life. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. For more information click on the R U OK Day Link at the top right corner of this post or visit their website ruok.org.au
