23.01.2022 At our monthly meeting on Tuesday it was a great honor to present Helen Rockley and Loy Strang with Life Membership to the QCDA Mareeba Branch. Helen has been Secretary of the Club since 2001. What a marathon effort. Loy has been in her position as Club Treasurer since 2010 and was the President from 2002 until 2010. Both ladies have well and truly earned a rest. During that time both ladies have worked hard to ensure that the club continued and have mentored many a new member. You are both to be congratulated. 17.01.2022 I am very proud of the Mareeba Cake Decorators Club QCDA Members who took the time and effort to create some wonderful icing creations for this years Local Shows. Congratulations to you all. Last year 11 cakes were entered into the Mareeba Rodeo Agricultural Show, this year 18 (16 from our members). I would like to think that the extra workshops that were possible throughout the year, thanks to the Mareeba Shire Council through the RADF Grant and the excellent teachers we were able to have come to Mareeba, gave our newer Members the confidence to enter a Show Cake. Between the Atherton and Mareeba Shows everyone has received at least 1 placeing. Kylie President

12.01.2022 Today saw our little club hold our last meeting for 2019. Followed by our Christmas Party. It was fantastic to see every member plus 2 guests attend. Great fun was had by us all. We were also spoilt by the Secret Santa gifts and by the little extra gifts by most of our members. Merry Christmas and a Very Happy and Healthy New Year. (Sorry Ornella I didn't remember to take photos until you had gone.)

06.01.2022 Last week saw us back for the first meeting of 2020. It was wonderful to see everyone attend. We confirmed that as a club we will compete an entry into the State Display in Brisbane later this year. Today saw some of most of our members attend a mini hands on workshop making Sugar Candy Eggs. Thank you to Daphne for making up the mix for everyone, Loy, Helen, Marlene and Kylie for how to make the shells and then put them together and decorate. Very sorry that no photos were taken.
