25.01.2022 We wanted to notify everyone that Len Vickers passed away peacefully late yesterday afternoon with Noeleen and Jason by his side. Len was surrounded by family ...and love all day in his final hours. Earth lost an incredible man yesterday, someone who touched more lives than we can fathom. He was the most giving, kind, hilarious, hard-working, generous husband, father, grandfather, father in law and friend. Funeral arrangements will be made over the coming days. The funeral will be an invite only event due to covid-19 restrictions, but live streaming will be available. There will be an open wake held at another time with more details to come. On behalf of Noeleen and Jason, we thank you for the show of support, love and compassion during this time.

16.01.2022 The Mareeba Speedway members and fans are sad to hear the recent passing of Lenny Vickers. The club is indebted to Lenny for his ever generous help and support over years and he will be a huge loss to speedway in the north as well as the greater northern community. Our condolences and thoughts go out to his loving family ..... R.I.P. generous man.
