23.01.2022 Last one for the day...congratulations to Hayley Arnold on Archie who won the Best Performed Barefoot horse in level 4. Well done and enjoy your soap and wash mitt pack from Bee Kind & Naturally White NZ

21.01.2022 Wishing all of my beautiful friends and clients a joy filled Christmas with plenty of socialising with loved ones(both 2 and 4 legged!) And a very happy and safe new year! It has been wonderful working with you all and meeting plenty of new faces, which have also led to new friendships Can't wait to keep moving forward into the new year and beyond Maree

20.01.2022 Quick heads up for anyone I haven't personally seen or contacted recently.....I will be taking a much needed break the first half of October so will be working horses in around this time. Scheduling will be tight this month to get you all sorted, priority given to regular clients on a schedule, current bookings, and horses on short trim cycles........so may not be able to guarantee a spot to new clients until later, unless time permits. Also if Balanced Equine Minerals(Hoof R...escue/Equi Horse) customers can make sure you have enough product to get you through to late October, please let me know this coming week so I can order more if needed, and get it to you beforehand Also if anyone is wanting products from the BeeKind Naturally White range of horse and hound soaps range and natural leather care, or the fantastic Just Grazin Custom slow feeder nets, please see me sooner rather than later to get them sorted Cheers, ....Maree See more

19.01.2022 Just a quick shout out to anyone I haven't already contacted......due to a hand injury sustained on the job, I am a little behind on scheduled clients. Currently have a wait list and will get around to everyone as soon as I am able to. Sincere apologies but need to stick to light duties for a few days to heal. Many thanks for your understanding and patience xo Maree

19.01.2022 Many thanks to all today's clients who provided shelter and good footing out of the lovely rain! It really made my day and was a pleasure working on all your horses, Thank you! Also had to take a few pics and share this fantastic set up by Joan at Nerrena! As simple as a few rolls of used carpet from the local carpet shop Clean, dry, and makes a lovely tidy surface to work on......and the horses were also nice and comfortable and happy to stand on it, and easy to sweep clean or shovel poop off if necessary Good work

18.01.2022 Here at Maree's Equine Therapy we love our range of natural products from Bee Kind & Naturally White NZ, and the newly stocked "Naturally Hot" intensive oil treatment is no different! Thanks to Yvette Stewart for sending in this photo of our beautiful model Jimmy (Black Tuxedo), recently clipped and using the hot oil coat treatment. Naturally Hot Oil is coconut and plant based, and contains no SLS, SLES, DEA, MEA, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, parabens, silicones......or other nasties commonly found in other products..... Yvette also uses the "Equi Horse" mineral mixes by Balanced Equine - Carol Layton B.Sc M.Ed in her horses feeds, which aids in building a strong immune system, and healthy, glossy hooves and coat

18.01.2022 A little slow with the update, .....but last weekend I was very excited to attend a clinic with David Landreville and Claudia, all the way from Tucson, Arizona. Held at Balanced Equine Performance Training Centre (thankyou Tony and Ann!), it was attended by an intimate varied selection of professional hoof trimmers, owner trimmers, bodyworkers, trainers, and an equine vet.......all of which made for an absolutely fantastic and invaluable group of people looking to expand o...n their knowledge and professional development. Everyone was great at bringing many topics of discussion to the table, including different issues found with their own or clients horses, and discussing the much thought provoking and sometimes challenging information we could be presented with. I was personally very impressed with David's manner, both with the horses and attendees, his horsemanship was of a very high standard, and he was very willing and open to talk to. It can be a breath of fresh air to be able to spend time with someone really striving to help the horse, and so willing to discuss and share information and findings, without putting themselves on a pedestal above everyone else I would also like to thank everyone involved in organising David to come out to Australia, and everyone I met on the weekend who are continually searching to further their education to continue to give our equine friends the best possible service we can. If anyone is interested in following David, search up his name on Facebook, or go have a look at his other page, On the Vertical or www.landrevillehoofcare.com See more

18.01.2022 Although I try to avoid working Sundays , I made an exception this weekend to get around to a few clients and avoid doing too much in the upcoming hotter days. After working on a few horses in the morning, I dropped in to see Carole and Gilly, to assist with fitting his newly purchased Scoot Boot's! All went well with the test run, even popping over a pole or two to show off his new kicks, lol Hope you and Gilly enjoy your new boots!

16.01.2022 Even a super fast 10 minute post ride wash with Bee Kind & Naturally White NZ soap still has the pones glowing! Adore the range from Beekind and carry these i...n stock in original bars, bulk packs, liquid shampoo and conditioner, tinned soap & sponge and leather care Doesn't dry out the coat, and always smells divine! Bandit fed daily with mineral mixes by Balanced Equine - Carol Layton B.Sc M.Ed for glowing health inside and out #Beekindnaturallywhitenz #balancedequine #mareesequinetherapy #naturalhorsecare #MoonshineBandit #barehoofperformance #painthorse #ridecolour See more

15.01.2022 Another little happy story from one of my valued clients On Wednesday I received a concerned call from the trainer of this boy and his owner due to his stifles locking (upward fixation of patella), and to the point he was unable to release the leg himself and move about. (Note: this condition has previously been diagnosed by a veterinarian ) I wasn't able to attend immediately, so over the phone talked them through some gentle massage techniques to try and assist release o...f the joint (which was successful), then was able to treat him myself first thing the following morning using a combination of manual bodywork and red light therapy. He also received a hoof trim all round, making sure he was nicely balanced with a good break over which is an important management tool in horses subject to locking stifles. So today, (the day following his treatment session), it was lovely to receive this video of Jaxx galloping and bucking on his way up to get his breaky As ongoing management we will keep him on a short trim cycle, good mineral intake, and an exercise routine that encourages good posture, muscle conditioning and strength. Thanks for the feedback! #mareesequinetherapy #jaxx #equinebodywork #barehoofperformance #balancedequine See more

11.01.2022 Afternoon all.....hope you are all staying warm and dry! Some of you may already be familiar with Good Gear Naturals hoof and skin care products, or seen me use them on your horses. (I've actually left behind a tub of clay at some lucky client's place, lol.....) Anyway, finding an Aussie product made from natural ingredients, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to also have this on hand for my much loved clients. (I'm gunna need a bigger ute ). Currently will have 2...00g pouches of Hoof Clay and 60ml bottles of Stay Put cream(I've got quite a few treatments out of a small bottle). With the option of getting in 500/700g pouches of clay if anyone would like this in the larger options. *Will get the powder sunscreen in again later in the year, but more than happy to get this in earlier as well if anyone wants this earlier* Check out the Good Gear Naturals page for more product info and applications, See you on the road! 10.01.2022 After previously sizing up the lovely 'Spanky' for a suitable pair of boots, today I dropped in again with his brand new order of Equine Fusion jogging shoes, to run owner Margaret through the fitting procedure, and give them their first test run to make sure all parties were happy It was extremely satisfying to see this dear fellow comfortably walking across surfaces he previously was having issues with, and smiles from myself and owner to see him happily lunge in trot and... canter in the arena freely and without restriction (this also tests the boots are secure and won't twist on the hoof when turning). By the time I had got home I had also received a message from Margaret that she had saddled him up and ridden him both on the arena and in the paddock, saying he went 'Fantastic' in his new boots Absolutely love having happy horses and owners, Happy Riding Margaret and Spanky See more

01.01.2022 Congratulations Ayla Hand who took out both the level 3 and 5 Best Performed Barefoot awards and chose some lovely leather conditioner and soap from Bee Kind & Naturally White NZ product line

01.01.2022 Just a quick check in to let everyone know I'll be taking a personal break away this week to clear the mind and recharge. Most likely will have little to no reception, and will get back onto scheduling clients when I get back next weekend. So please be aware messages may not be answered in this time. Cheers *My girl Bandit thoroughly enjoying her Red light session last night before we get ready to head off.... *
