25.01.2022 Tomorrow (Wednesday 28th) is a Public Holiday in Bendigo. I have decided to honour that and won’t be open. We will reopen on Thursday at 10.00am. I apologise if anyone was making plans to come. I am excited by the news that once again Victoria has recorded 0 cases and 0 deaths. That is simply the best news! I’m excited for my fellow shop owners in Melbourne that they will be able to open. Looking forward to seeing my Melbourne friends when they can come after November 8. Well done everyone, and I am committed to COVID Safe practices in the shop, the rules will still apply.

24.01.2022 Schoolgirl Sampler by @kathy.tracy.quilts! I have the kits organised! It’s taken a couple of days but I have gone through all the blocks in the quilt and pulled out fabrics in the shop that are very close to the original in scale, print & colour. The result is a pack of 122 fat 16ths that you can use to make your own version of the quilt. This pack $245.00. Some fabrics are used in more than one block and are also used for both the appliqué in the centre and the half square t...riangle border. At the end of these photos you can see a couple of samples of what I have put together. I will include a print out with your fabric pack of the fabrics I have suggested for each block! I have also put together a seperate pack that will contain all of the fabrics to complete your top including background for the appliqué, borders, dashing, cornerstone and the outside border and binding! This pack is $160.00. (Note binding is not pictured in this photo but it is brown). Happy to swap out the floral print for the large border if there is another we have in stock that you prefer! 21.01.2022 These two chaps are Winston (black) and George (brown) are 2 today! They can be silly as wheels but controlled here by the offer of a treat! George is ours, Winston belongs to our son Mark but he comes to doggy day care most week days!

19.01.2022 Special customers are wonderful people! Was spoilt by @ingrid_the_quilting_owl on a special visit! We had a wonderful time sharing stories and our love of fabric. I was embarrassed by some special gifts that Ingrid left......and even though she didn’t know my story her Christmas card had Blue Wrens! My heart leapt when I saw them! Bless you Ingrid they were my mums favourite bird!

I only have a seven metre piece of the border so if you want it you will have to be quick! If you are into pink and chocolate this is the range for you! This is by @kathy.tracy.quilts who is running a sewalong group over on Facebook. ‘Schoolgirl Sampler Sew Along’ I have the books coming and have started putting together kits for this quilt.
