22.01.2022 I have been training the wonderful Adèle Basheer and Jamie for many years and have just finished taking them through their very first personal training session via the fabulous Zoom app from my studio to the comfort and convenience (and safety) of their home and it worked out beautifully! While its business as usual for me I’m still looking at ways to keep my clients in shape who may find themselves having to isolate at home for a period of time. We’re incredibly fortunate to... have the technology to not only stay connected to the people we love, but also to continue to live our lives and do the things we value until the impending threat we currently face passes. The app is easy to use and very effective with clear video and audio, so if you find yourself isolating/isolated then you can continue to stay fit until you can get back to your regular regimen See more
22.01.2022 Growth requires being willing to work past the edge of discomfort. . @zalidepizzol this woman embodies the philosophy. Every. Single. Workout. . #fitter #stronger #faster #better

21.01.2022 It is my job as a coach to expect more from you than sometimes you expect from yourself. While I completely understand that fitness is not your number one priority all the time, the bottom line is that if you have a desire to change, and you set yourself a goal, then you need to accept that it’s going to take work to happen. Making fitness a priority is YOUR job and mine is to support you in that decision by giving you the tools for success. That includes telling you what you... need to hear, even when you don’t want to hear it. There are always going to be a million excuses why you didn't stick to your training program or nutrition plan, but very few legitimate reasons. A reason is temporary. Excuses continue. Sickness is a reason not to train. Not feeling like getting up an hour earlier to fit it in is an excuse. Change doesn’t happen in your comfort zone - it happens when you push yourself. If you really want to change, then quit the excuses for good, and get comfortable with being uncomfortable. You sought a change because you wanted more, don’t let old lifestyle choices rob you of what you are capable of just because it is hard. I want more for you; I want you to succeed. But you have to want it for yourself. We have One Life, Live it WeIl _______________________ Mareike Miller Fitness Training Nutrition Physique Transformation Indoor Rowing Lifestyle Coaching
20.01.2022 A major factor in getting better is to have a plan and to always make an honest effort to stick to it, no matter how you feel. _____________________________________________ @simonnetarzia_ putting her plan to work. _____________________________________________ #onelife #doeverything @ Mareike Miller Fitness
17.01.2022 As a fitness coach I work with people from all walks of life. A common theme I observe in many of my female clients is that they are constantly stressed, tired, and plain worn out. They feel over-extended, yet still feel an obligation to others. They feel like they never get a break from the constant daily grind of working, managing a home and a family, managing social obligations, while trying to maintain good health and fitness. If this sounds like you I urge you to be very... protective of your time, and spend it on those things that add value to your life. If you’re a people-pleaser, saying no might make you feel like you’re a bad person. But those few seconds of discomfort are well worth avoiding the stress of taking on extra work when you can least afford to. 16.01.2022 It was a huge win for Mary today as we tested her 1 rep max at the end of a 5-week deadlift cycle! Finally been training #deadlifts for #strength gains again . It’s been about 6 years since I did any real decent weight with a deadlift. My previous 1RM got up to 102.5kg about 6years ago.... I’ve been training deadlifts once a week for about 4 or 5 weeks now. Today was 1 rep max day and I honestly didn’t think I’d get a weight I was happy with due to the day I’d had. @mareike_miller_fitness had the genius plan of me deadlifting blind (not knowing how much weight was being added to the bar, I didn’t have a blindfold on or anything, don’t worry ). Last week I felt I’d be happy with 90kg but I managed 95kg today so I’m pretty stoked! Not knowing the weight being added has a good mental advantage. But doing it under the guidance of someone who knows what weight you can lift safely is required

12.01.2022 On developing resilience... When it comes to fitness, mindset is everything. Going in with a defeatist attitude, only acknowledging the difficulties and the sacrifices will make the process too hard and give you the reasons you’re looking for to quit. But by changing your thinking to approach each struggle not as a roadblock but as an opportunity to grow and a challenge to be conquered, you will develop a powerful characteristic shared by those who stay the co...urse and realise their goals. Continuing to show up to the commitments you made to yourself despite the inevitable obstacles along the way is what builds resilience. #onelife #doeverything
11.01.2022 There are a stack of reasons I do work in the gym, a major one being that training hard gives me the capacity to play hard. Being fit, strong and healthy takes you places, and that is to be recognised and celebrated. . #onelife #doeverything
10.01.2022 Some people who want to go after a goal in life stop short of it because they feel they’re in it alone. But when you have solid support, your goals become more obtainable because they will hold you accountable in the moments you find it hard to do it for yourself. I want to see you succeed as much as you do. #myjourneymyway #meagainstme #makeyourmark #mareikemillerfitness #onlinecoaching #onelife #doeverything

09.01.2022 Be your own best friend. Be motivated by kindness towards yourself rather than fear or shame because lasting behaviour change comes not from self-loathing, but from self-care.
08.01.2022 People say that age is just a state of mind, I say it's more about the state of your body. . @christine4890 at 70 years of age taking care of it with: . 4 rounds... 250m Row 8 Kettlebell Deadlifts at 42kg 30 sec. 05.01.2022 If you're on the path you're meant to be on, everything seems to fall into place. If you are not on the right path, you will experience roadblocks all along the way. This is your opportunity to stop, look, ask if this is where you are supposed to be and if it’s not, then take steps towards changing. . @elisedepizzol on the right path and performing better in the gym than ever before. . #belief #grace #peace
04.01.2022 Confidence comes from hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication. The dictionary defines confidence as the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust. When we feel confident in others, we know and trust in their ability to do what they have promised. When we feel confident in ourselves, we are able to trust in our own abilities, qualities, and judgement.... When you believe in yourself you’re more likely to try new things, devote your time and energy to tasks that matter, make good lifestyle choices, and foster healthy relationships. But in the age of social media, it can be difficult not to compare ourselves with other people and struggle with confidence issues which can spill over into other aspects of life. But there are things we can do to build trust in ourselves and help boost our self-confidence levels, and physical training for performance (and aesthetics if that’s what inspires you) is one significant way. Nothing builds self-esteem and self-confidence like accomplishing something that’s been uncomfortable in its pursuit, like a grueling workout or a new back squat PB. I have trained @tiffanycosgrove_ for over three years and have witnessed her change from someone too terrified to step into a gym by herself to feeling comfortable in the weights room and confident enough to train herself there. It doesn’t come naturally to her and it’s not easy, but every single session she completes, every new exercise she tries, every PB she achieves, every brutal workout she finishes, she believes more in herself, feels more comfortable with who she is, and recognises that she has worth. Chipping away, one day at a time. #onelife #doeverything @ Mareike Miller Fitness
04.01.2022 What separates people who are successful in reaching their goals from those who don’t is that successful people choose to stay the course in spite of their circumstances and emotions. Emotions are fickle and will change often so if you’re allowing them to dictate your behaviours, then you’ll continually be taking two steps forward when you feel like doing something only to take two steps back when you don’t. If you want to change for the better, take control of your emotions ...and do what needs to be done. 01.01.2022 There is so much you have to offer. Seek out opportunities to make a difference in the world in your own unique way.
01.01.2022 Do what you need to do, so that you can do what you want to do. Achievement and convenience do not go together. You have what it takes to be successful, so you have to step up your game and make room for it. @kattyj10 stepping up to her final deadlift, 5000m of rowing and 54 reps in.
