22.01.2022 A recent fence and deck rebuild. Blackbutt timber is one of my favourite decking materials.

19.01.2022 Decent excuse for not working today @ Murwillumbah, New South Wales
16.01.2022 {Front yard renovation] The front yard and entrance of this period home needed a makeover. The verandah needed a major overhaul with new guttering, ceiling lining boards and posts. We added corner brackets to enhance the period home feel and a coat of paint to bring it back to life. The client opted to have the timber deck replaced with a tiled concrete slab. My brother Adam @thegoodtradie did a great job tiling the verandah with a feature bluestone border. Does your front ya...rd need an update? 15.01.2022 One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is transforming underutilised spaces in peoples homes. Here we built a spotted gum deck with privacy screen and stainless steel balustrade, creating the perfect spot to enjoy the afternoon sun whilst overlooking the backyard.
15.01.2022 This suburban block was once a thriving vegetable garden providing an abundance of food and herbs. With a lack of accessibility for its ageing owners, the garden became off-limits and became overrun with weeds. With a new vision and improved accessibility (raised garden beds, stairs/handrails, irrigation), the garden can now be enjoyed by people of all ages. With the heavy landscape work now complete its time to bring in the plants and chooks. Stay tuned!
14.01.2022 This was a fun project which involved both the design and construction of a chicken coop. With a beautiful pine forest as a back drop, I opted for a design theme of sharp lines with bold accents, utilising black hardware/fittings and rough sawn cypress for its rustic feel and natural termite resistance.
13.01.2022 This was a really fun chicken coop project. My clients kids were involved from start to finish. Working off their plan, I built a spacious enclosure for the chooks, with a nesting box accessible from the upper level of the garden. The girls had a great time decorating the coop. A quick tip: If you need paint and youre flexible with colour, Bunnings often has discounted paint with random colours starting from $1.
13.01.2022 Grace Darling was looking her absolute best at auction yesterday. After over a year of restoration works alongside owner/architect Damien Bonnice, we restored this grand 1890s Victorian home to her former glory. Works included faade restoration, landscaping/decks, wine cellar, custom furniture and painting.
11.01.2022 The container project is motoring along. All hands on deck today. Colour change from rusted green/red to Basalt. Internal and roof framing is complete, electrical is roughed in.
11.01.2022 On this project the backyard was in need of a makeover. With an uneven concrete slab for a yard and an overgrown concrete path down the side of the house, the brief was to turn the space into a functional, low-maintenance entertaining area. So we went to work, building a merbau deck large enough to accommodate an outdoor setting. Bluestone steppers with crushed marble made for a nice pathway down the side with up lighting. We also replaced the front chain link fence with a picket fence, instantly improving the street appeal of the property.
10.01.2022 The structural works of the Sensory Garden at the Nerang Country Paradise Parklands are now complete. Join Stacey (from Gold Coast Green Living Inc) and I as we walk through the various aspects of the park.
07.01.2022 After a week long build its so nice to welcome the chooks into their new home, the HenStar Hotel. These happy chooks are enjoying all the creature comforts of their new home including an elevated house with natural roosts made from tree branches, a food scrap hatch, and easy access nesting boxes for the kids to collect eggs every morning for a delicious and nutritious breakfast. Yum! The HenStar Hotel is a spacious 20 square metre custom made chicken coop. ... For more information and inspiration visit mareks.com.au

06.01.2022 This project involved a simple de-fit, leveling an uneven concrete floor, laying floating floors, installing two partition walls and building a bay window display box.
04.01.2022 The scaffolding is down and all exterior facade work is now complete. Contractors removed a tree today to make way for a new driveway.
04.01.2022 Construction is underway on a sensory garden for all ages and abilities on the Gold Coast. Featuring a barefoot walk, soundscapes area, pipe telephone and hop scotch.
04.01.2022 The scaffolding is up and restoration works have begun on this 1890s terrace in Clifton Hill. While the weather is warm the exterior will get a complete refurbishment and the grounds landscaped, with the addition of a driveway and carport. Interior works will begin as winter sets in.
04.01.2022 New stairs and deck for this recently raised home.
01.01.2022 This front yard had seen better days. Our scope was to refurbish the verandah and lay down a driveway, so we got to work. The verandah needed a major overhaul with new guttering, ceiling lining boards and posts. We added corner brackets to enhance the period home feel and a coat of paint to bring it back to life. The client opted to have the timber deck replaced with a tiled concrete slab. My brother Adam (www.chevski.com.au) did a great job tiling the verandah with a feature bluestone border. After running the Bobcat through to get our levels, we laid down York exposed aggregate concrete for the driveway. The lighter coloured concrete provides for a nice contrast to the lush garden installed by the landscapers.
