23.01.2022 *** NEW HOME NEEDED - ILLAWARRA*** Please read this profile very carefully. Jessie is a 6 year old female Maremma. She is microchipped, registered, vaccinated and desexed. She is currently residing in Koonawarra (South of Sydney). Jessie was originally from a farm, but due a death in the family this is no longer an option. She is currently residing with family of her original owner but they aren’t able to continue to care for her.... Jessie is good with people once introduced. She is also good with other dogs and chickens. Jessie is good with children and should be a considered to be a companion dog. She is a typical Maremma, in that she is timid until she gets to know you. Jessie enjoys laying in the dirt, running around and swimming in the creek. If you would like further information or are interested in Jessie please contact Wendy on 0428 324 461. DISCLAIMER: This dog and its owner(s) are not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Livestock Guardian Rescue or Maremma Sheepdogs in Rescue/Companions for Life.

17.01.2022 UPDATE Franklin is HOME! and happy to be back! Thank you to all those who donated to his care and our vet bill, your support through this is immeasurable and we... are truly grateful! He was in the best place that he could be... again ever so grateful to our beautiful vets and their staff @ Bathurst Central Vets for taking care of him. Why he was sick is still a mystery, but life saving drips and antibiotics, have got him well again! Please enjoy the pictures, from showing how keen he was to leave, to travelling home. With much butt sniffing and body language, he then told the others (not in his pack) that he was back, and then he was happily welcomed home by his own pack here.

08.01.2022 Thoughts and prayers for Franklin: Our gorgeous old Franklin has given us all another scare today, when we found him lethargic and breathing rapidly. He has had... xrays to rule out bowel blockage, and to check his chest for anomalies, he is currently at the vets on a drip with a high temperature and a unknown infection, so we are waiting for blood tests to see if that shows the cause. We would like to ask his fans and supporters, and the maremma community at this time to consider a donation towards his vet bill. Your donations are much needed and very gratefully received. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made by direct banking to Companions For Life Pet Rescue or Maremma Sheepdogs In Rescue Our account details are: BSB 062591 Acc No 10086071 or paypal [email protected] We owe it to them to give them the best life that we can!
