25.01.2022 Attended the MUDDY FEST FESTIVAL at Kent Street. This festival attracted a huge crowd of Mums and Dads with lots of children whom were enjoying the black Mud and then going into the river to wash some of the mud off. We have never seen so many HAPPY children and parents with so much mud on them smiling.
25.01.2022 WA Local Government Gala Dinner. - BelleVue Ballroom last night. Compliments to the organisers the food and the service was fantastic, Beautiful decorations which made the atmosphere special. It was also great to catch up with old friends.

22.01.2022 Citizenship Ceremony last night at the CITY OF CANNING were more than 85 new citizens from 18 different countries taking their oath. Coming to our 4th year term Out going Deputy Mayor Cunningham made a farewell speech. In 4 years both the Mayor Paul Ng and myself have attended more than 80+ ceremonies which has been a great experience to welcome so many new Citizens to our City of Canning.

21.01.2022 City of Canning held another Citizenship Ceremony tonight with more than 80 people taking the vow. The Mayor Paul Ng, Deputy Mayor Christine Cunningham and Geoff Moor did a great job with sending of our new Citizens with their certificate, Native Plant, Australian special coin and of course I did bring the chocolates for the children and they were all spoiled with some refreshments and snacks. Donna and staff did a great job.

20.01.2022 Both Councillors and staff have worked together to produce a collaborative budget that benefits our community. Tonight, the 2019-2020 Annual Budget was adopted ...by Council. The budget maintains a high level of service and continued development of City infrastructure for our community and we have taken into consideration, the financial pressures on households. 20.01.2022 City of Canning held another Citizenship Ceremony tonight with another 70+ people arriving from all over the world to live in Canning. The Mayor Paul Ng welcomed them all while Cr. Lindsay Holland and I did the Australiana slang quiz which the lucky person getting it right with a chocolate. All the new Citizens went home with an Australian Plant and Special Coin.

I wish Principal Daniel Bergin and all the staff and children a thank you for the wonderful concert and the morning tea was delicious..

13.01.2022 City of Canning held their CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY last night with many new citizens coming from 15 different countries. City did proud with the Potted Kangaroo Paws for every family and the special Australian coin. Attended by the Mayor Paul Ng, Cr. Lindsay Holland, Cr. Sarah Saberi . Cr. Lindsay Holland had the crowd in laughter asking re the Australiana slang questions. Thanks to the Staff Donna Ross .
13.01.2022 Attending the NATURE OF SCIENCE Community Expo today at the Canning River Eco Education Centre to celebrate National Science Week. Congratulations go to Amy Krupa and the Expo Organising Committee, for a wonderful event with more than 37 stands and activities. Public was spoiled with many receiving some free plants, children with banging on their chosen woodwork projects to take home to Mum and Dad.

The Consul General invited all the other Consul Generals from the 10 countries and present were most of the Consular Core. Representing the Government was Hon.Bill Johnston and Hon Lisa Harvey the Leader of the Opposition.
