15.01.2022 The late Jim Drake inventor of the first windsurfer, designer of the X-15 rocket plane that in has held the world record for the fastest manned aircraft since 1967. Here he tries his windsurfer for the first time 40years ago. His first idea was to power a surfboard with a kite! But he decided to use a sail instead... Jim spent years developing concepts, windsurfer boards and SUP boards for Starboard.

06.01.2022 Big waves and 30 knots SE wind yesterday. One of the most difficult SEasterly winds I have sailed in at Margarets. Very gusty and strong wind gusting up the face. But fun too. Bring on Summer!

05.01.2022 There has been some good windsurfing and kiting in Cowaramup bay last week. A turnout of about 10 sailboards riding waves on one of the days.

04.01.2022 Augusta today - had my two sons practicing on the Ozone Catalyst 4m. Levi who is 10 years old, got up on the board for the first time after about 3 or 4 previous days body dragging. He rode for 100m about 5 times, so well done Levi!
