23.01.2022 Today we celebrate a Macalister land mark the Iconic Red Bridge. The Red Bridge is an old road bridge connecting the north and south banks of the Logan River. 16.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE Labor’s COVID border closure - but at what cost? You may have seen this week’s A Current Affair program regarding a local man Gary who has been forced into hotel quarantine after returning from Sydney, after brain surgery. Sadly Gary is seriously ill and must have immediate chemo & radiation treatment in a Brisbane hospital. Qld health told his wife Wendy, that unlike celebrities and footballers, Gary must remain in a hotel for 14 days and travel each day to th...e hospital in an Uber with its windows open. Despite the cost to businesses I have, to date, supported border closures. However currently there is almost zero community transmission in NSW and zero in Qld. I therefore call on the Premier and Chief Health Officer to show compassion and common sense to Gary and Wendy so they can quarantine at home.
