25.01.2022 Stuck at Home? Ways Still Life Photography Can Keep Your Skills Sharp https://digital-photography-school.com/still-life-photogra/

23.01.2022 "With most of the world self-isolating at home, women in the South West are being encouraged to create an inspiring video for the South West Women's Health video competition. Run by South West Women's Health, the competition is open to women aged 14 years or older who live in the region, with a cash prize going to the winning entries. There are two age group categories and three topics the video can be based on which include tips on staying vibrant, acts of kindness or a demo...nstration showing how to do something that is fun, edible or helpful. The video can feature only one actor or voice over and the competition is only open to amateur videographers."

17.01.2022 "Sugarloaf really is a stunning location and is a place that anyone who passes through should really take the time to stop at. Yet therein lies the problem, when a place has been photographed from every perceivable angle, under every kind of condition, how do you bring something new to the scene?" ~ Australian Photography magazine https://www.australianphotography.com//behind-the-lens-uni"

14.01.2022 #Perth #WA if you're looking for something more interesting to stare at tonight or tomorrow night than your living room wall, we've got just the thing! Tomorrow...'s full moon will be the biggest and brightest Super Moon of the year. While the Super Moon occurs at 10:35 am AWST, both tonight and tomorrow night will be good to look at it. Tonight, moon rise will occur at 5:53 pm AWST and tomorrow it'll occur at 6:31 pm AWST. All you need is your eyes to look at it, but if you do look at it through a telescope, remember to use a moon filter on your eyepiece as the Full Moon puts out a lot of light pollution so you get white out in you eye for a few minutes after a few seconds of looking through the eyepiece with no moon filter.

10.01.2022 Amazing capture!

07.01.2022 "What drives you to pull out your camera and take a picture? The answer to this question will help you understand your photographer type. Understanding yourself as a photographer, and knowing what inspires you, is one of the best ways to grow. Once you know your photographer type, you can focus on the photography you love without feeling the pressure to be like other photographers." ~ Mat Coker, Digital Photography School... https://digital-photography-school.com/what-photographer-t/

06.01.2022 If you want to see one of the most mind blowing wildflower displays in the South West region right now, go check the the northern end of Burnside Rd . Crazy be...autiful with an explosion of colour and wildflower diversity! You may recall this is the same piece of bushland that formed part of successful fuel reduction burn conducted by DBCA in May 2018. There was great local support for reducing the fuel hazard that abutted Margaret River townsite and surrounding rural properties. The locals understood the benefits of reducing the fuel load and potential fire intensity of summer bushfire. Unfortunately it does look black and burned for a few months, but a well planned and conducted fuel reduction burn should have the bush looking vibrant and full of colour within a year of the burn . And with much less fuel loading should the area be impacted by a future wildfire .
