25.01.2022 A huge congratulations to David Sanzone after opening the batting for C Grade today, batted the full 50 overs for an incredible 221* which included 35 fours. Thanks to Southern Tigers for acknowledging David’s amazing achievement at the end of the innings.

C Grade Captain: Emerson Booth Vice Captain: Andrew Hammond Season starts this weekend, as A Grade take on the Summerleas Eagles @ Margate starting at 10:30am on Saturday. The C Grade team will take on North Huon @ Margate, starting at 11am on Sunday. Sides to be announced Thursday night.

There’s people doing it a lot tougher than us right now that’s for certain; our Victorian friends come to mind then there’s those of Be...irut who have had their bustling city crushed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our thoughts and prayers however are not with the morons that think driving onto our ground and scarring it like Tommy Flanagan’s face is a credible act. Within our four walls are some of the communities finest sleuths, so whilst you may be roaming free today, rest assured you’ll be found and dealt with accordingly. Likely a visit from Frank Gilroy this time as a three time offender. We are saddened by the act and the impact it will have on the increasing number of juniors that get to enjoy the facility. Not to mention our own members. To close out on a positive note we cannot wait for the season ahead. With an unchanged coaching lineup and some fresh faces in we will represent the shirt and community with aplomb. Yip Yip! Ps. Any assistance on this matter would be warmly received.

11.01.2022 Would like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to Eric Ecca Monaghan who after 6 years as Club Head Coach is leaving us to continue pursue his love of coaching. Since Eric Monaghan arrived he has not only brought energy with everything he does but plenty of terrific people to the club with him. 4 premierships under Ecca and a couple of international tours, Eric won’t leave the club a stranger after making and building life long friendships.... I’m sure we all wish Eric the best and hope to see him as much as we can over the coming season, but I’m sure we all won’t miss his blury zoomed in photos.

04.12.2021 Some great performances from Oscar and Alex this weekend! They are both taking home a Pizzarazzi voucher for their efforts! Tonight, the Mecca take on the North Huon Warriors at home for a Division 2 T/20 semi final. Be there at 5:30 to watch the first ball!

02.12.2021 It was a successful weekend for the Mecca, with both A Grade and C Grade getting strong wins. Oscar Carter starred with the ball in A Grade, taking 5/30 in a season best performance, with Josh Roberts doing most of the damage with the bat with 64, including a host of boundaries. A strong team performance saw the boys keep Southern Tigers to 148, bowling them out in the 45th over, and chasing the total in 33 overs. On Sunday, C Grade had a game for the ages. Getting the win wi...th one ball to spare, the boys battled hard all day with both ball and bat to bring home a big win! Andrew Hammond and Samuel Pursell lead from the front with the ball, taking three wickets each, with Kade Irwin bringing electricity in the field. Keeping the Eagles to a respectable 173, Alex Mazur went big in his first game for the club, banging 61 from 49 balls, which included three maximums. David Sanzone ran hard between the wickets all day, being the one to hit the winning runs in the 49th over. Well done boys!

20.11.2021 This week, the A Grade boys take on the Southern Tigers at Margate. Come down and support the club as the boys look for their first win of a rain-effected start to the season!

12.11.2021 PLUNKETT was the name to watch for in yesterday's day of Division 2 T/20 cricket. The returning brothers piled on the runs, with Thomas taking the Kingston bowling attack to the sword to chase down a low total in 9 overs. Connor took the run chase upon himself against the Sharks, with help from Adrian Tatnell-Cowen and Jack Spencer, Connor whacked 38 runs from not many balls to bring Margate an unlikely victory. Oscar Carter, Emerson Booth and Zac Loveluck were the pick of the bowlers, each bringing home multiple wickets from each of their spells. Well done boys!
