With the unfortunate reality of your DEC BAS amongst other commitments to the ATO, being paired with the horrible disaster that has stricken....ring the ATO, they have a disaster protocol that they MUST adhere to. This basically gives them free reign to ensure that businesses do not get crushed by the financial obligations with the ATO. ... Talk to them, let them know your situation. They have options to either extend the payment date or enter you into a temporary payment plan with NO interest. (Please note that there are obviously some guidelines that the ATO need to follow in terms of past history and what not and that it is still a case by case basis) But....they are willing to help and willing to be understanding and patient. Lean on them and talk to them.
