However, various spas and clinics... recommend that you wait at least 24 hours before using your exfoliating tools, although many other aestheticians and dermatologists recommend waiting as long as 72 hours before resuming your routine. Aside from refraining from exfoliating, you should also avoid strenuous exercise; hot tubs and saunas; tight clothing; and unprotected sun exposure for several days after your waxing session, as these actions may further inflame or agitate your skin. 07.01.2022 Here are some things to note for when you go for an eyebrow or facial wax Never get a wax on the day of an event After a wax your skin around your brows will be red and if you have sensitive skin, it could very well last a couple of days. No one wants to be photographed red faced, so to avoid embarrassment always get your wax done 3 days prior to your event. Does it hurt? Removing the hair from the root over again will after time make the hair grow back finer a...nd slower. Each time you go for a wax, it’ll hurt less because the hair being removed won’t be as thick, meaning there’s not as much to remove. Plus, because it grows back slower, you won’t have to go wax as often and potentially save money in the process. Can’t do pain? You can numb yourself beforehand. If you have a low pain threshold, numbing creams can do the trick. About 30 minutes before your appointment, apply a topical numbing cream to the area you’re going to have waxed.
